You need to clear the cache* of your browser and then refresh the game page as it’s using the old cached version of the startup file. If your browser allows it, you can just clear the cache for the oneknightstand.co website, not the entire cache.
*And it’s explicitly the cache that needs to be cleared, not browsing history, cookies, other site data, and definitely not localStorage
yep, it worked, checking again the update post i noticed it also said it to clear the cache in this bug cases, my apologies, i barely even glanced at it before going straight to the game lol
Here I go replaying the demo all over again, because for the life of me I can’t remember ever getting any of the invasions when I stayed in the rv during one run. Granted I think I remember picking an option to practice some magic warding stuff that the mc picks up from tv shows? Maybe that negates it? (Merlin gave them a knowing look when they got back so….) unless that changed in the newer update.
No problem, while the warning was there from the very beginning, I went back and made the text super-sized after you posted. A lot of people had similar problems with the last update with their browsers using old cached files, particularly if they were using Chrome.
If you stayed in the motorhome from the beginning and neither the little girl nor the demons showed up, then that’s a bug. If you left the RV and came back later (ie tried to follow Merlin or went into the convenience store & chickened out), then you missed the timeline for the invasions.

Probably a bug then, from what I remember, I was testing out what would happen if I stayed in the rv in the first place and got nada. My two pc’s usually either follow Adrian or Merlin, so I don’t remember much of that test.

Uh oh. Your route is blank, which means something is bugging out here. What did you do when Merlin & Adrian left the RV? (Did you stay behind in the motorhome as an MC who had Merlin heal their demon mark the previous night? Because I know that route was previously bugged.)
Blank downtime, huh. Just checking… you didn’t have breakfast, binged on sweets or coffee, took a shower, tried to hotwire or ward the RV, surveyed the RV for supplies, or do any agility training, right?

Yeah, unfortunately, the main portion of that route was bugged and didn’t trigger,
*insert evil cackling over It Sees*
Unfortunately, if it’s not triggering in the ending stats screen, then the fed variable status effects from eating breakfast might not be working? I checked through the code, but everything looks like it’s correct, so I’m not sure what’s going on there?
It shows up as true in the web console if you eat breakfast. If you accidentally set the kitchen on fire, that variation shows up fine in the ending scene, but not the normal one.
It shows up fine on the ending scene on my version of the game. But not the online version of the game (which is just my version uploaded to the website).
The fed variable was originally a temp variable in the Alpha Build, but there’s definitely no trace of that left in the code anymore. And it really shouldn’t be persisting after you (and me) restart the game.
So, after several hours, my conclusion is… I have no clue what’s going on there. Maybe someone else snooping through the code will figure it out.
Oh well, while doing all that, I did find a bug in the possessed version of the RV stay, so there goes another quick hotfix.
Edit: Okay, I think I figured out what went wrong here. The ending scene file was using old code, but the fed variable in the actual chapter seems to have been working right. *knock on wood that it’ll start appearing in the ending screen stats now*
How do you avoid getting possessed and corrupted?
You know all the dumb stuff that characters in horror movies do? Don’t do that.
Like, in the beginning when stuffs getting kind of spooky? Don’t try to look at it. Don’t peak your head into bathroom stalls or out of horse stall windows, don’t look into creepy mirrors (don’t try and fistfight blobby things wtf greed! mc I have to reload now!) Just…be a bit cautious? If you pick the Guard job you’re DEF gonna get possessed I think, not your fault I just don’t think you can avoid it. I think any contact with demonic activity will wind up with you getting corruption.
