Yeah, it happens after the getting turned into a duck part. Just keep being stubborn about not leaving your apartment and have a high enough affinity with Adrian that he’ll start blackmailing Merlin.
The public version hasn’t been updated since January/February with that big update that introduced the fencing club route in Chapter 1. That update did indeed wipe out everyone’s saves because I thought it might help with people’s caching issue where they were seeing the old version of the game. It didn’t.
All saves from the February bugfix onward should still be there.
And apparently 100,000x Randomtest still isn’t enough to catch all the bugs. Or this is the revenge of an Adrian who’s being manipulated as apparently that’s what’s causing it.
Anyway, I pushed a quick hotfix through. Try refreshing your browser and reloading a save from before you entered the Phone Menu. You might need to clear your cache too, I know Chrome in particular really likes showing the old version of the files instead of updating to the new one.

There is a reason the author recommends Phobia Phobophobia If we wanted consequences interesting for our MC? And because of the anxiety that people who have this phobia feel?

Merlin’s Guide to Minor Neutrals for Chapter 2-3 is now done and here’s a quick preview! Yes, it’s the zombies strike back after all the Arthurian werewolves.
If you keep refusing to leave your apartment with Adrian & Merlin at the end of Chapter 1, there’s only two ways this can go. If Adrian’s affinity is too low, Merlin & Adrian will leave without you and you’ll get one of the Chapter 1 Dead Ends.
Otherwise, Adrian will blackmail Merlin into knocking out the MC who’ll wake up on the RV later (with the Kidnapped achievement). Although you only get to overhear a few words between Merlin & Adrian in this case.

Hey, about Merlin’s guides…for mute MCs (I’ve been thinking about this for a while) would you consider putting in more all emoji answers for them to use? Even though the typed out responses technically aren’t talking, if you really wanted to be a pain in the ass about it, it’d give you a way to go completely non-verbal.

Its a cool idea to have reincarnating amongus at the end of the world.
Feedback wise:
Have hopefully placed in spoiler as it relates to a glitch at the start of the game.
Have only been able to replicate it once, but had a very weird glitch / code thing happen where when choosing the Burner phone, and checking the text messages without responding, my quest was resumed somehow into the dream sequence.
Didn’t take a photo (Should’ve but I had to reset like twice to get it back to normal), but from what I remember (It didn’t make sense cause I didn’t even know there were interludes and dream sequences), but in any case the narrator was talking about being the child of the king.
The scene was such that it basically went:
Mother: “Your’re Majesty”
Queen Gwy (Or something like that, can’t remember the exact spelling, possibly Gwendolen but I swear it had a y in the name) “Husband”
Child Character with the option of saying1) Follow the orders 2) The Queen / Queen Gwendolen is trying to get rid of me 3) (Can’t remember) With the queen not being their mother, the mother being lower class…If I recall correcty.
Otherwise its really good, and I greatly look forward to seeing more of it
I can add a few more emoji replies to the ones that are already there, but those mostly function as a sassy version of [Leave on Read] since there’s no way to carry on a conversation that way.
Well, an extraneous *finish might boot you over into a random *gosub scene (I think a wrongly replaced *return would just give an error message), so I got rid of most of them from the phone file + moved the phone scene to the end of the startup file, so now if it’s a repeatable bug it should boot you over the *ending file instead (for less confusion).
However, the really weird thing is that there’s no scene like what you described in One Knight Stand. It kind of sounds like a scene from the Bastard Crown with Queen Gwynne?
But there’s no way OKS coding could’ve loaded a different game, so your browser’s cache might’ve just been bugging out there.
Hey, just popped in to say that I loved the story.
I am enamored with Merlin and wonder if she is going to crush, inadvertently or not my little changeling heart. (And pestering that heartthrob of an Incubus with a thousand question about his own heritage. Why can’t Changeling magic ? Is dancing needed to cast magic ?)
Wonder what option we’ll have to react when we find out what’s happening with Adrien. (My little changeling is fully trusting him and can’t imagine him being part of some sort of cabal or anything else. Being carried like a sack of potatoes was adrenaline right ?) I don’t think it’s going to be pleasant, but my changeling would most likely be an hypocrite to throw the first stone at Adrian.
Hoping for more Merlin content. Merlin is the best.

A ton of branching everywhere in the second part of this update, so try replaying again with a few different choices.
(Since there were bugs & typos reported throughout Chapter 1 & 2, your current saves are probably going to reset to the beginning of each section of the game. If things get too wonky, you might want to try restarting from the beginning.)

in the new update, got a bit trouble, when mc, merlin and adrian gets out of mc apartment to begin the journey, right before taking the elevator, before talking with the mom and the lil girl, this appears “chapter1-7 line 5233: Non-existent variable ‘merlin_bond_reset’”
