I mean you can actually choose to befriend him organically, but yeah, he did probably set things up so that you met. I would not be surprised if he wrecked the drive (I believe that’s the event for tech hobby, other hobbies have other things and I don’t have code) so that he’d have an excuse to make contact.
Still love him tho.

However if you ask Adrian about his favorite things during the FTB, the MC can notice that he doesn’t ask MC what their favorite things are.
Yet he doesn't ask about your own favorites before the two of you part ways once more.

There is specific flavor text if the MC thinks he’s a stalker when asking about his favorite things. You only need to be an acquaintance (or recently friended him) to be able to get this option when interacting with him during the FTB.

I think he knows the MC’s Camelot self, but I hadn’t thought he already knew the present MC.

Aaaaah I have to do a few things today so I can’t really afford to go hunt down the clues I had, but see, this is funny. I mentioned the author is really good at using confirmation bias and misdirection to obscure the mysteries in OKS, and here it seems to me that those who already think he’s a stalker get extra text for that purpose specifically (or it would also get triggered if he was just an acquaintance, no?). I’ll admit I also might have confirmation bias (hell yeah Hazard), but these moments (and a bunch of the free time hubs 65+ perception snippets) actually make me think something much weirder is going on. I don’t believe the MC can be correct in their assessment of what’s going on with Adrian right away no matter what.
I’ll expand later if people want, but this really feels more like Adrian has known you before. Which could just be because my perception is skewed by playing a Liar Amnesiac. But… Idk…

Something else that’s interesting to think about in regards to past lives and memories, is the Saboteur.
Driven by a past life’s grievance, they’re set against the other Harbingers, despite personal bonds and the looming threat of demons. That’s a pretty big thing. Their opposition can be handwaved by assuming they’re possessed or something, but that would undercut the fears about past enemies, lurking foes reemerging. It would also flatten their character, and then spice of the betrayal, to just a demon puppet, which I feel won’t happen.
It seems like the memories very well could have large effects on how people behave. I doubt it can all just be subconscious ‘soul’ biases or something. What effects will it have on the rest of the group as they remember too?
Also, while I’m posting, I’m calling out Gwen to be the traitor. I got that gut feeling, and have to set it in writing for when I’m vindicated.

I hadn’t thought about it before, but the Saboteur either has regained all their past memories or at least enough of their memories to hold a grudge by the time they join.
Though it’s possible they have other reasons for wanting to sabotage the Lesser Circle.
The author’s mentioned there’s going to be a falling out when everyone regains their memories.

Gwen is either the traitor or Lancelot’s incarnation. There is no in-between.
But more seriously, sometimes for me Gwen comes across as less developed than the other ROs, which would make sense if being a traitor is the whole second half of her chararcter arc.
But, it’s still too early to tell. Complex characterization can still come from a woman desperately seeking love and attention.

In the Patreon, we got a peek at the motivations of The Saboteur from the Second Circle at Cape Town in 2020.
There’s a lot of ways this could play out.
Has The Saboteur had their memories for a while and is playing the long game to infiltrate the group?
Is The Saboteur not aware of who they are, but is being manipulated as a sleeper agent by someone who is?

One day I’ll gather every piece of evidence but this is like, masterdoc levels of work because it’s theories upon theories upon theories that somehow all click perfectly well together that are scattered throughout the entire game, so it’ll take time and commitment…

Also, everyone is lying in some way, shape or form, so even if she isn’t the saboteur there is a good possibility that she’s hiding parts of herself at first that the author wants to keep hidden for the time being!
Hell, I’d even go so far as saying that this is a trait often found within people who are far more complex and insecure than we’d expect. I didn’t think about it but now part of me is kinda heartbroken for her. 
Like doesn’t that mean it was always lacking from her life beforehand?

I’m surprised the first Free Time Hub only has 3 time slots instead of 4 in my recent playthrough. I did not pick Sloth as a vice, nor did I give myself a new last (married/cousin/married cousin) name. I remember it having 4 slots in the past (skill increase, phobia decrease, punch apology), and apparently asking Merlin about fae heritage doesn’t eat two timeslots (the skill increases are the only things that eat 2). Glitch?
I also did not sabotage the RV.
Does having the fae convo really cost 2 instead of 1? If so, wow, but on the other hand I can see why. It’s a pretty personal lore dump.
