One Knight Stand - King Arthur x Among Us Apocalyptic Road Trip (WIP 1.2M+ words)(UPDATE 12/1/25 74k+ - Scouting the Heist)

Preview for the Chore hub is here (and also now available on the Alpha Build on Patreon).

When You Don't Want to Bother the Party Healer

Also, quick heads up that the OKS account on Tumblr was one of the (very) many ones shadowbanned this month, so I won’t be posting anything there until that gets fixed. The archives are still a good source of background info, however.

The Chore Hub is the second-to-last part of this section, so next month’s update will finish off Chapter2-4 and should be the release of the Beta.

I knew there was a reason why I bought that first aid kit!
And besides, Merlin in most runs doesn’t get any “snackies” yet, so bothering them is probably not great in the long term.

Also good for those MCs who don’t trust Merlin and want the least amount of spells cast on them as possible.

Hey, this isn’t really a bug report, just a mention of a wrong word used. The MC can swear in multiple languages and one of those languages is Polish. The word you used is “piekło”, which is the polish translation of the word “hell”, but it’s not actually a swear word in Polish. Instead, I would suggest using “kurwa”. It’s a very popular polish swear word, equivalent to “fuck”, although it would probably translate to something more like “bitch” or “whore”. It’s just a small thing that I noticed as a polish person and would appreciate you fixing.

If kurwa’s the equivalent of “fuck” then it should probably go into the more severe fuck hub instead of the milder hell hub. (Yes, I’ve got several entire swearing hubs set up). And if you want to suggest any other replacements too, here are all the variations available

  • hell (mild swear, closer to an exclamation, preferable stand-in for something suitably hellish since that’s thematically relevant, tends to be used in exclamations such as “What the [bleep]!” )
  • damn (pretty much the same as above, only this one tends to also be used as a standalone mild exclamation too. [Bleep]!)
  • shit (moderate swear word, worse than hell, milder than fuck. Much like ‘damn’, can be used as a standalone “[Bleep]!” or “Oh bleep!”)
  • shitty (the adjective form of the above, worse than freaking, milder than fucking “That’s a [bleeping] excuse!”)
  • fuck (most severe one-word form of cursing, worse than hell, damn, shit etc)
  • fucking (adjective form of the above, more severe form of freaking/shitty “That’s a [bleeping] shame!”

In fact, anyone who wants to suggest foreign swear words that fit into the above format feel free and I’ll add them to the cursing hub.

How does our MC even know so many swear words from different languages😂. Can he speak in different languages?

Frankly, “kurwa” is an incredibly versatile swear word. Depending on the person it will either be used as a severe one (I only use it when I do something that causes me physical pain, otherwise I just use English ones, as they feel less severe for some reason), but I’ve heard people who use it every second word, like I sometimes do with “fuck”. However, I can offer you alternatives for each of your hubs, ones that work with the polish language (as I understand that it’s pretty difficult to do so with languages one doesn’t know themselves).

So, for “hell”, I would just use “kurwa”. Maybe “kurwa mać” in the case of “bloody hell”. It definitely aligns with how I’ve seen people use the word, as well as used it myself. What the kurwa! does sound a little strange, but all polish swears will and this is the closest option. It might seem a little severe, so if you want a milder option, you could go with “kuźwa”, something you usually say when you’re about to say “kurwa” and then realize that your parents or incredibly religious family members are in the room (I know this from experience).

When it comes to damn, definitely use “kurwa”. You dropped something? Kurwa! Stubbed your toe? Kurwa! You get the point. Just like with hell, if you want to use “damn it”, you can use “kurwa mać”. This is the easiest one, as I don’t have to account for genders and forms (will definitely explain when I get to “fucking”).

With shit I would suggest “kurwa” again, but we actually have a great equivalent. “Gówno”. Translates literally to “shit”, used in similar situations. Will sound strange sometimes, but as I mentioned previously, all of them will. Polish have too many form for that not to happen. However, this is the best option.

Shitty has the same problem “fucking” will. Polish has forms and genders. You can use “gówniane”, which is the gender neutral form, however, in the example you provided, the proper form would be “gówniana”, since “excuse” is female in polish. Basically, either don’t use polish in this particular example or just use the gender neutral form I gave you, as I doubt you want to have to check every word to see its gender before deciding what swear word to use.

Fuck is another pretty simple one. As I told you, “kurwa” is the polish equivalent of it. Yes, because of what I mentioned before it won’t be the most severe in this language, so if you’d like to keep that escalation, you can use “kurwa mać” instead. It’s like a more severe form of “kurwa”.

Now we get to the dreaded “fucking”. Just give up with this one. You could technically use “jebać” as a literal translation, but then we look at the example you provided and it has the same problem as shitty, only worse. Just like with shitty, you’d have to use “jebana” because the word “shame” is female. But it gets worse. The word “jebać” isn’t just gender neutral like “gówniane”. It actually doesn’t count as a verb in a sentence. Yep, it’s a verb that’s not a verb. In English, you’d call that an “infinitive”. So it’s like “sit”, “eat” or “go”. Technically, you can use them in a sentence but not without fulfilling specific conditions. So yeah, don’t bother with this. It’s more trouble than it’s worth.

Sorry for the incredibly long post, but I love talking about my language. It’s one of the hardest languages in the world to learn, so I’m pretty proud to be one of the people who know and use it on a daily basis.

This came out very long, so I’m making a TL;DR.
Hell = Kurwa or Kuźwa if you want something less severe
Damn = Kurwa
Shit = Gówno
Shitty = Gówniane, but it’s also really complicated, so just not using polish here is an option
Fuck = Kurwa or Kurwa mać if you want something more severe than what I gave for “damn”
Fucking = No. Just no. I hate translating verbs into polish. No way to do it consistently. Don’t bother.

Quick update, I’m currently working on the editing/bugtesting phase for the next Beta update. This last section has some crazy coding going on, so this will still take awhile, however. :skull_and_crossbones:

Yes, the game does assume that the MC who triggered the multilanguage flag by swearing actually does know some foreign languages. There’s also some flavor text that can be triggered where that particular MC went out of their way to learn swear words.

It’s up to headcanoning which way you’d want your own MC to lean.

Thanks for all the info! I’ve added the non-fucking/shitty versions to the curse hub, which should be part of the next update.

I think it would be funnier if MC is only fluent in English but knows all the swear words in other languages.

This is unironically me, I speak Nepali, my primary, and English, my secondary, but most any other foreign word I know besides that is some iteration of a swearword

Back I am. First question, is there any way to save the guy on fencing route if you don’t choose luck as ability or paramedic profession?

Also, how to max out stats? I mean, how do you even get these options?

He survives if you invite Adrian to watch from up front. I think he also lives if you choose the “only masked eyes allowed” option right before the spar but idk if there’s a stat check for that.

The best way to save Zain is to have 30+ Body and at least 1 Magic, or 20+ Body and have danced at least two times before then (Tango de la Muerte, Dance of Joy, [successfully] Moonwalk like Michael Jackson), or have Agility as your talent. If you meet either of these criteria or have 4+ Cuckoo, you have the stats to save everyone.

While making sure that Adrian is near him (third best case), and/or making sure he wears a mask (second best case), ensure he survives the fencing meet with no injury, they don’t give the stat bonuses that parrying every shard does (and it’s cooler IMO).

Although all the scenarios with him surviving are much better than the ones in which he dies.

Perception?

Any advise on how to raise perception?

Thanks for the comments + stats!

Yeah, that was my first inclination too (due to experience), so you can definitely play them that way.

If you haven’t followed through with any of the other suggestions yet, there are Saving Zain (amongst many other) guides in the FAQ.

Otherwise, the only way to “max” stats is through Cheat Mode on the Alpha Build on Patreon. Cheat Mode should be available as a paid DLC when the game is officially published too.

However, in that particular screenshot, those options are locked behind already seeing something strange down that particular hallway.

Stat drop. I need to make more MCs...

Also in Adrian’s interlude, he only notes Pippa’s death/injury as an outside casualty to the demons’ attacks on the Harbingers. Zain and the book club person (when they are added) should also be noted.
