This was a super fun demo. I will watch its career with great interest
Well I did!
I wasn’t saying it was impossible, but that I recommended MAKING it impossible. However, one could argue that beating Wagner at 8 is guaranteeing failure once you have a real command, so maybe it’s not so bad.
Hey all! Just thought I’d give a short little monthly update here as I’ve been quiet for awhile.
June has been exceptionally busy for me. Between work, a family wedding, and then getting knocked on my ass by sickness for awhile, I haven’t made a ton of progress on Officer of the Fleet this month. However, not a ton of progress does not mean none, and my schedule is relatively clear for the near future so I hope to get back into the swing of things and get you Chapter 3 ASAP. As always thank you for the continued support, it means a lot to still see comments and likes coming in over two months after releasing the demo. You all are awesome!
PS: You will have your medals, I promise you that.
If there isnt enough to shield me from bullets, what’s the point of them?
Wdym?
Probably that putting a child in command of thousands of lives will go catastrophically wrong
Well its difficult, extremely, but its not impossible and I am excited for the challenged that await in the future!
@sleepy2
@Adam_Cay had the right idea in that ANY 8 year old would struggle with command, but it’s even worse than that. The dev has said that the higher the expectations, the harder the challenges. 8 year olds start off with the highest expectations, and the choices needed to beat Wagner raise them more. Having the sim victories (against Wagner and the rest) raise them even more beyond that, so having an 8 year old who beats Wagner means that pretty early out of the gate, you will be expected to pull off impossible encounters.
But on top of that, you will also have the WORST leadership ability that the fleet has ever seen, because you had to put everything into int and adaptability.
And theres no way you level up your skills after chapter 2??? I mean I wasn’t expecting that age mode to be easy but from the way you’re saying this, it feels like 8 year old mc isn’t supposed to be a normal playthrough?
8 year old is nightmare diffculity, 12 year old is hard, 14 is normal, and 18 is easy?
I’m hope I am not misunderstanding this!
Nvm I get it!
Who are the RO’s?
Im having absolute fun. The realistic depiction of competitive environment. The interaction you made with other cadets are realistic and humane in that certain mindset. Great work!
I want enough medals to the point that when i get shot by an 88mm flak the medals will make it ricochet got it?
Some you’ve already met. One you can actually have a romantic scene with in Chapter 2. The rest will come later. Keep in mind the majority of the RO are going to be individuals you can meet and interact with during your downtime and are not necessarily important to the overall plot otherwise. There are exceptions to that rule however.
Thank you! I’m glad you’re enjoying it!
Sure thing. Totally unrelated question, you’re not too connected to your friends, subordinates, soldiers, sense of morality, or your own life right?
if this is about Wagner or that french fry just know i will throw them into a volcano just for a bronze star or something
My friends, I love you all but a medal is a medal.
Nuh uh
You misunderstand, I love all my friends but if a choice comes down to them or this nice looking medal… How many gotta go into this star?
star is star
