At the end of the month, which will be longer: novel or moustache?

I moustache you a question. Anyways it reminds me of a low-key thing we do around here called no shave November. Don’t ask me why its just a… thing my fellow humanoids do. Hope I can get my novel done in November, would love to finish her by then.

@Havrnstone I can’t compete in that. I already have a big white beard. I grow it every winter, Ladyirish hates it but knows I’ll grow it anyway. :D>

@lordirishdas The Irish always did have a thing for long beards. (That is to say, they did about 900 years ago and I don’t know if things have changed.) Personally, I’m far more inclined towards the Handlebar!

I’ve done NANOWRIMO before. Wow… 8 years ago!

It’s a fun motivational tool. I haven’t looked over the site carefully yet, but it used to have line graphs and completion bars. I might just have to join again. I have an idea for a new game/story in my head… Perhaps a break from my current project is a good idea.

I deleted all my old friends. They were from a game I played 8 years ago, and I haven’t seen/heard from them since the game closed. I’ll have to update my profile.

One more day and then it begins mwuahahaha. And if only Halloween was longer my life would be complete… alas tis not so.

I have stocked up on coffee, Mountain Dew, and snacks. So ready to get cracking

hmmm that will be funny Mara jumps merrily

I believe I’m a taaaaaaaad late to jump on the bandwagon since… Well, Nanowrimos start in 4 hours where I am, but hey, it’s my first time trying this out so I can at least try again next year!

My username (which is highly underdeveloped and I have still yet to poke around the site) is Random Monochrome. A mouthful, yes, but Random was taken and Monochrome was taken and well…

Anyways, hoping and fingers crossed that it goes well (and that a story idea comes to me soon).

Not too late at all! The only rule is that you can’t start until November. It’s all on the honor system, but i think a COG fits the theme nicely. I think even the code isn’t bad. Coding a tricky section can take much longer then writing text, so it balances pretty quick. I only did this once before, but i completed, so that’s cool. It’s amazing what some motivation can do for a person.

Oh, and I am Lucid over there as well. Feel free to add me.

Random, I can’t seem to add you. I’m Godfeather over there. I think I’ve added everyone else.

I can’t wait for it. Halloween tonight and Nano tomorrow. Life is good.

I’ve added @LordIrishdas, @FairyGodfeather, and @Lucid. Though I had to find @FairyGodfeather through @LordIrishdas’ account, and you guys had a tick beside your profiles, so I’m not sure if that meant I was already added or something.

But anyways, 5 AM on November 1 where I am, time to get cracking on some impromptu CoG I just thought up!

Good luck Random! You can do it!

*Happy Dance*
It is time Ladies and Gents for NaNo. (There is not a big enough smiley face for this.)

I wish you all the best in reaching your goal(s) for the month.

I have done this challanges many times, but I do belive this is the most excited I have been writing along side such a wonderful group of writers.

I’ll be doing a ChoiceScript game for NaNoWriMo…starting in approximately two hours.

Happy to see another on board. Good hunting to you @initdoby5

I fear I may have had to much coffee already lol.

*edit I promise to refrain from throwing trout in the first week of NaNo. After that might want to keep your head down. ^^

I completely forgot about NaNoWriMo until a friend of mine reminded me. I’m hesitant about using a ChoiceScript game as project though. Mainly due to all the code.

*sigh* I’ve already wasted seven hours.

Well so far I’ve done an almighty 600 words, and it took me 20 minutes to write those. No code yet, since it was just my outline. I may end up writing the entire game just as an outline of ā€œthis happens, then this happens.ā€ As long as I get it written I can always edit it later.

@Blackrising Is your hesitation that you don’t know how to code? Or some other reason? I learned choicescript under a deadline. Admittedly my code was rather poor, but I did manage to get a working game up. I found that sort of pressure helped, especially in regards to lopping off ideas that I just couldn’t implement, or had time to fit.
