Two write-ins in two days means peak productivity for me. 1123 words on Friday, and 1617 words on Saturday. If I write over a thousand words every day for the next week… my game will be very long. But my game is already pretty long. Much longer than I planned on. I need to work on my planning skills, what month is that?
A little over a thousand words today. The NaNo website interface is still optimistically reminding me of how many words I need to write to hit 50K by the end of the week. Oblivious to the fact that I’m quite pleased with the 15K I’ve managed so far.
I have counted all I have written this month and is up more than 25,000 words in total. So far so I find it really cool I have written in 3 months 125,000 words so I suppose is not a bad record .
I just have 10,000 words left! It’s really the home stretch. I really believe I can get 2000 words a day and finish NaNo! So excited to look back on my work in a couple days!
Btw how is everyone else’s progress? Hope everyone is doing well!
Weekends are kind of sketchy to me, and I still have a bad cold. This might end up being my final word count for the month, or maybe not. What’s important to me is that I finished my next beta version and got almost to the end of chapter 3 (out of 4 total).
It is about to write a game or a short story related to Thanksgiving 1,000 to1,500words in a day.
There are other stories made by others that wanted to join me in my Writing jam
I’m not participating in Nano as I’m focused on finishing my WIP but I added 30k to it this month. I always get more work done during Nano as I get inspired by everyone else who is doing it.
Wait…I just had a flashback to witnessing the birth of my second daughter. Yikes!
Anyway, I’m proud of everyone’s progress! It’s progress, not perfection, that counts anyway.
We still have a couple of days left. I’m at a measly 13,833 words for the month, but I managed to submit the draft of my new game AND I managed to totally redesign and relaunch CCH3, and I’m diving into getting Issue 9 done in the next two months, so my November push has put me in a good spot.
After a week away from writing, I ended up writing 1950 words yesterday. Fifty words shy my daily goal but still acceptable for being away from the writing for so long.
I’ll make the 50,000 word contest goal, but not my internal goal of 60,000 words. I’m satisfied with the end results … I hope next month I can take it all the way to 2,000 words a day for the entire month.
Looks like I may either just hit the 50,000 goal or fall just short. Finished with the total of 49,304 words with 1 day to go. Unfortunately for my writing tomorrow is my best friends wedding and I am an usher so have got a very busy day and night. I plan to wake up at 6am to try and get at least an hour or writing done before having to get ready to leave to help set up the venue. Wish me luck folks and good luck to you all on the final stretch!
Edit managed to get to 49,713 words before having to stop.
It doesn’t let you because is a private link but I am glad you enjoyed it!
I like to make Writing jams and speed writings groups. I will like to do the same here in Cog but I think the community is not keen on those writing sessions.
Tomorrow, I’ll upload it to grammerly, check that the MC voice is consistent and then I’ll see about dashingdon. I’ll never actually get to finish a WIP if I don’t try to make a WIP. At some point I need to brave the world.
@poison_mara Speed writing is just not possible for me. I freeze up when I try, but perhaps someone else is willing?
