How are we doing, everyone?

I’m at 17 223 words, so I’m on track. I’m still being rebellious since I’ve worked on 3 projects and one of them is one I started before November, but these are words written, so I guess it’s okay. :slight_smile:

I had a lot of ideas for side-stories in LH3, and since I need my 1666 words a day, I’ve been adding them. :slight_smile: I’m getting close to the end of proofreading LH3, but I suspect that my beta-testers will want scenes added too, so I may be able to keep my NaNo dreams alive while getting LH3 complete. The best of both worlds!

Uh… uh… 17,764 words to paper this month… though that’s spread across three projects and includes coding. One of them also being an ongoing project. :\ Wow Lucid, I’m like… doing almost the same as you. XD

18 314 words so far. I’ve managed to keep up the par thanks to staying up late to meet the word minimum. :sweat_smile:

Though there was one day when all I managed to write was around 170 words… which just meant that I stayed up extra late the next day to make up for the lost time. (And then subsequently had a writing-induced-nightmare in which I forgot to save my work, which got me up at 2:30 to check and make sure everything was saved)

Now fear of another night like that makes me write more…

Motivation…?

But, honestly, I’m actually really enjoying this. I find I enjoy writing more when I do it daily, since it becomes easier to get into the “flow” mindset and just keep going. Which makes me much more relaxing as well, so added bonus. :smiley: (That and it’s given me a lot of ideas to rework/rewrite scenes.)

I’ve been doing about 15 minutes and 500 words a day. So! I’m way behind! But that’s okay by me. I was more looking to get into a routine of writing every day as opposed to one of hitting 50,000.

Yeah 11 days and just 7,600 words.

None of it’s in any sort of order!

I am fairly content with my process with.21.353 Words. Sadly, it is not on one game but on like… 4 separate ones. But it’s fun nonetheless. And now that i’ve sprained my ankle, I can work even more on it… Nah, kidding. Still need to go to work ._.

Ehem. Not sure if I will be able to write today anything at all, as I will be gone in around an hour till probably the rest of the day. So, a night session it will be for the following day…
Sighs. Motivation… can one eat that thing?

I am a really productive day yesterday with 2500ish words getting to 20,668 words as of early morning, so it’s nice to be ahead! Sadly I have a busier day today, though I’ll be attending another Nano event so it’s not all bad.

I’m lagging behind quite a lot, at around 7000 words, I think. I wish I could blame my new job for that, but the truth is that I just like chatting with my boyfriend a bit too much :sweat_smile:

Well, I pushed out 6,214 words today, though that’s having worked the entire day, and doing my own quality control work on it. But that does get me back on track, more or less. I’m -somewhere- near 24k this month, though not quite there. It’s a fair halfway point.

I feel like I opened one of those old can-o-snakes on ideas this month, with tons of them popping out at me all over the place, about half of them not anything I could reasonably bring to fruition at all. Still, I am highly excited about the work I am doing. And blissfully content to be putting words to screen.

Somewhere just under 10,000 words so far. Last weekend had my FIL visit, so that ate into my usual typing time! Along with life, as usual. But still plugging along! :sweat_smile:

Edit to add: Developed head cold this week that is severely hampering my ability to breathe and think. Booooooo! (sniffle) (cough)

This month is turning out so busy. Too many things that have to be a priority unfortunately with due dates looming. Why couldn’t they have NaNoOctWriMo? Not quite the same ring I guess :wink:

Final 10 days!!

I am SOOOOOOO far behind it is embarrassing. I blame sickness (@MizArtist33, as we all know, those colds hit men harder), and shopping around for a middle school for my kiddo, and looking at houses (considering a move), and the election, in no particular order. Okay, the election took the most wind out of my sails.

Anyway, we STILL have 10 days. You can do it!

Under 13k to go for me, but I’m embarassed that quite a bit of that was character bios, though they needed doing and are all sorted now, so it’ll be nice to get into some completely fresh stuff tomorrow! My Spidey game’s first episode looks to be about 100k when it will be done if one includes the bios, so I’ll have some more work in the New Year I think.

I’ve lost count on how I should be keeping track of my word count. Because I did this bit of therapeudic coding the other day just making a randomized name generator for m’self, which had a lot of copy/pasting involved. Sure, it’s words to screen, in a sense… but it came to 75,393 words in one day’s time, and isn’t ‘writing’ per-se. I don’t think I should count that, not in the slightest. On the flip-side, I am curious how much actual writing I’ve done so far- it’s so scattered among projects, I’d need to count it all up all over again.

Struggling but at 39k just not sure if I will manage to cross the finish line. My job is really making it hard to find any free time :frowning:

Well I tried to make this month about writing Exile, but I accidentally fell in love and well only pulled 12k on that one, however I decided to go full rebel and add another work that is much more personal to me which is at last check at 31,764 words, so combined I’ll make the goal no trouble, just not the way I planned

Not going to make it this year sadly. Managed a good number but my job really is making it impossible to write on a regular basis. Hoping to switch companies in April which would mean home every weekend instead of once a month.
