NaNoWriMo - 2016! (add your NaNo name on Post 69!)

I dunno… maybe we can all pool a 50,000 word excuse file … I’m sure we can all help reach that goal  :stuck_out_tongue:

Last year as a group we wrote 371,602 word count. Wonder what will accomplish this year

What’s everyone’s Nano names?

Cecilia_Rosewood (surprise, surprise )

Word count this far: zilch.

My Name for the Month?
Wraith (duh.)

Progress?
Does a sleep-deprived paragraph from 1 am count?
If so, around 500 words.

But truly, it is difficult to write when I get up at 6am and come back at 6pm… I’m very often too annoyed to write anything and on weekends there’s this thing called family. We’ll see how well I will be able to accomplish anything decent in that time.

So far at 1680, now I’m stuck debugging it :disappointed:

Lordirish, (20 letters)

I am

Godfeather

Please, everyone add me so you can see how little work I’ve done! In fact it may end up in the negatives again this year.
.
Someone who isn’t me should probably start a list of everyone’s names so it makes it easier to add them as friends.

I can’t find Wraith since there’s lots of wraiths.

I made your post a wiki so people should be able to add their own names to it.

I found Wraith abouth fourth or fifth one down on the search list.

jacic (Yeah I know original as well)
I have 645 words…so thats just another 49,355 to go. Not so bad if you look at it that way right? :no_mouth:

I am Lucid over there too.

I hate not being a part of this! But, how can I do this when I still have LH3 to finish? I need more time!!!

Derek Metaltron on there too. Also I seem to have had a decent first day so far, so that’s good.

Aww, am I the only person to not share the same username here and in NaNo? golden_beato is one of those 13 year-old usernames you regret when you’re older, hahaha! Jk

Anyway, 2500 words so far. Not bad for the first day, I think. But still less than my 3000+ first day record a few years back.

Ew they changed the NaNo website.

Okay, so I have like 12 of these, but this is the one associated with my forum email address:

ashes to roses

buddy w/ me y’all

i’ve been doing so much friggin’ planning for this you have no idea. I am exhausted (13 hour shift yesterday) but damn it all if i’m not gonna start off strong this year!

do what I’m doing: use NaNo to finish LH3 :3 (I’m working on a game I’ve got about 4k for, so I’m not, like, super cheating, but still :P)

I totally would, except that I’ve already written it. It’s the proofreading (and then beta) that I need to do. It’s taking a long time to proofread it, but it’s coming along.

I’m sooooo tempted to start my next project anyway, since I love NaNo so much.

same. I love diverting my compulsiveness towards something actually useful, instead of cleaning the kitchen counter for the tenth time today.

Would anyone be interested in doing 15 minute challenges with me?

I was doing those with @Snowpanther earlier in the year and they really got me writing. We’d set a time, sit down, write as much as we both could for 15 minutes. No distractions. No deleting! No fixing spelling mistakes! Just write!

And then we’d do a word count and see who won.

If I promise to do one a day, at the same time each day, I might get 500 words a day done at least. (Although I’d be hoping to do more outside of the fifteen minutes.) If there’s no interest then maybe I can just do it myself.

I’d be down for that, definitely!
