Wanted to begin by saying that I absolutely love this game.
I also encountered a somewhat amusing bug, which I will explain with spoilers in the following.
After I meet Devlin on the bridge, I agree to take him with us, but kick him out of the car after the comment about Heather. Yet in the next scene, when the car arrives at the harbour, Devlin is still in the car. Even though I again left him behind, when I had the meeting with the harbour men, guess who’s again running around as a part of the group and what a big help he was.
I was just amused as it seemed I just couldn’t get rid of the dirtbag no matter how hard I tried.
@trelas well I definitely have to fix that. I started playing around with the script to make it more condensed and it apparently backfired. Devlin is actually a pain in the butt, because including him as a possible extra character (as opposed to Emma and Heather) is difficult to write. But I do have big plans for Devlin!
Typo:
From behind, zombies attack the soldier to your right. You had forgotten the trio of zombies near the subway steps, but they must have heard the weapon fire. The soldier is brought down fast as hungry teeth bury into his face and arms. The second **shoulder** aims and shoots one zombie in the head, sending him backwards into a concrete subway wall.
Very excited! A really good CoG so far, I really enjoyed the progress you have made and the future content! I keep noticing this, but when you have to leave the vehicle to coins the debris in Part II, it says: “You all cover your faces as you climb over the .”
Missing a word? There’s also a misuse of the word You’re, when dealing with the blockade of the cars, something along the lines of “You’re safety is my top priority.” Should be your. Nit-Picking, and relatively very minor errors. But, none-the-less, this is a very engaging story, intriguing, and just plain awesome. Keep up the hard work!
Hey Jim thanks for answering my question man… lol really cleared up for me …because it really really really!!! Bothered me when I couldn’t help the little girl…seriously… whats the song the little girl was singing… was the language in German??
My friend tried it and he fell in love with it. Can you give a hint about what the little girl is. And did you ever see that show the colony? Will part 3 be something like that?
Yes, part 3 is definitely going to feel like the colony (at least the community aspect).
On the colony, there is no real danger though. In Zombie Exodus, there will be more peril than before, because it will be a struggle for resources and staying alive against zombies and marauders.
Also, the game will evolve such that you can be “good” or “evil”. I don’t want people to have to do good deeds or pick morally acceptable paths. You can actually be a marauder. That’s why the humanity score exists.
I can’t give too much info on the girl yet, but a hint – she is tied to someone in the Cathedral.
So my thought about the girl might be correct then and the decision you make to save the girl or not is a big decision. Can you tell me if I am correct? . And how many people are we talking about living in the Cathedral? (At once). Oh and is there away to shoot Devlin? (Lol)
Hey Jim… in your CoG… during the beginning when you sister leaves a note… how did you get the players name on the letter?? Programming wise.
*create name
*set name “Justin”
Like that… I’m wondering how were you able to put the players name on the letter… “Dear, ‘Players name’”
