Monsters of New Haven High - last update 4/02

A lot of interpretations of the Wendigo involve a certain amount of… what’s the word, pallor? While it’s fully possible she could be pale, it wouldn’t be in the common sense of “pale white skin”. I’m sticking with the interpretation that they (wendigos, that is) get a bit of a grayish tint to their skin which could count as paleness to an extent.

I was going to respond to the other bit, but I don’t think this thread needs me going on a spiel about supermodels, eating disorders, and society valuing beauty over health. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Low-key sad that I can’t be friends with Wendy sense I play a windego ;-;

Same here-- but with the Vampire race.

Me and Victoria could live out our endless, blood thirsty days together, painting art, romancin’ and breaking skulls (or, y’know, having an army of servants.

And @op (on phone and forgot name) can we eventually turn our human servant lover into a vampire?

He was your mom’s lover… you really want to turn your mom’s old lover into your lover?

In theory, I’d say it could be possible, but the MC is literally just a fledgling vampire that was recently turned. Most vampire lore requires the vampire to reach a certain point of maturity or age - as a vampire - before they’re actually able to create progeny. It’s possible that creating a progeny requires a ritual whose exact preparations are only privy to those the vampire society has actually given permission to…

There just isn’t enough information on how vampire society functions in @Sashira’s lore just yet. :frowning2: But, from the codex:

When an established vampire can afford to share their knowledge and resources, they may create another vampire to receive these benefits while helping with their own goals, which can span centuries.

I remember bugging @Shashira about this a while ago I think she said it’s possible for us to turn a character but dangerous as that’s how the vampire’s parent died, turning them, and the vampire characters have a fear of it because of that. Of course even if I’m right she could’ve changed her mind.

Who the first servant was depends on your choices. If you view them as a parent figure then they were mom’s lover. If you view them as a potential LI then they are another adopted child a few years older than you.

I know it’s late, but thanks-- I kinda skipped the servants description and really didn’t want to have my parents lover as my current lover.

Or maybe we’ll get a special Achievement?

‘Keeping it in the family’ 10 points

Eww, that’s just wrong dude , anyway can we.skip the “my parents lover is my lover” stuff, it’s not that I have an issue it’s just that it’s just really weird.

It sounds weird but it feels so right lol

Oh no…
Our vampire family has a history of having Multiple Lovers/ Servants.
Our parents definitely did.
We live in a small-ish town.
Thus we can condclude that there is a chance and non-monster RO we have has the potentional have your family’s blood in them, or desendents of them at least.

Urgh, hopefully our vampire grandparents didn’t get around too much, or at least in the same country.
Taylor’s been ruined for me.

Hi everyone -
I usually try to keep personal updates to a minimum, but it’s getting be about that time where people might be worried. Here’s some notes on where I’ve been and why the demo has been stalled.

  • I’ve been working on a collaborative game with some other forum dwellers. That was my primary focus for awhile because they were waiting on my section; I’m down to the last minor edits, some of which will be based on feedback from the upcoming public demo.

  • The cat I’ve had since I was 15 died. Without her, stress built up to levels where I was in danger of another psychotic break. I had to drop everything and isolate myself until my psychiatrist could stabilize me on new medication, the side effects of which have taken awhile to get used to. I’m doing much better now.

  • I saw a specialist about my increasingly bad back pain and was diagnosed with a severely herniated disc that’s causing various nerve problems, including energy and coordination, which explains why it’s been taking longer to type. I go in Friday for an injection that should drastically improve the symptoms within 1-2 weeks.

So yes, it’s been a hell of a month. But things continue to improve, I’m back around, and getting back to work. I’ve been writing new scenes but the doctors forced me to take some painkillers, so I’ll have to re-check them later to see if they’re coherent.

Cheers folks.

I’m so sorry hearing about your cat and herniated disks. Take all the time you need.

Wow the universe likes to throw lots of crap at once doesn’t it? Sorry about your cat, sounds like they had a long, happy life at least.

Lost my dog a few years back. She’d been with us 16 years. I understand the feeling Sash, take whatever time you need. And I’m sorry to hear about your back, but hey, I know it will all get better☺
