Hello again. It’s update time! Now where do I start…
I’ve been busy trying to make sense of the plot, and I think I finally figured it out. I’ll be changing the premise slightly, but keep in mind that nothing’s final yet:
You play as a ten-year-old who writes a fantasy story in your diary about yourself and your twin sibling. The next day, you realize that you are now reliving the previous day according to how you wrote the story. But what happens when your twin also starts writing their own story? Will you agree to fix the plot holes together? Or will you be the cause of them?
Yup, so the title finally makes sense.
This means the diary story will now have fewer genre options, and you will now be forced to name the characters in the story after the MC/Twin. The twin will now also have the opposite opinion about the parents, which is where the initial conflict will come from.
I’ll have to replot some events, but at least it’s clear to me now where I want the story to go. I really hope this is the last time I replot. I don’t even know anymore how many times I did that already.
Watch me do it again next year.
And in an effort to keep the story manageable, I’ll be removing the mansion background option. It never really fit the story anyway. Yaya Connie will now be relocated to the middle-class background. …Come to think of it, you may be able to change your background later.
I’ve also decided that I want to finish the update first before I start posting my other WIP (tentatively titled Prayers, Please), although I’ll post it soon after.
I’ve come up with the mechanics and the story outline for it, so the (excuse) plot itself shouldn’t be a problem anymore. It was surprisingly much easier to plot.
I’m still not writing anything at the moment though. Still busy with college.
Aaanyway, I’m out! See you in a few weeks, I guess.
