Hmm, was this an older save or one made new with this update? (I think I’ve heard that if you change / update a scene and then try to reload a save into that changed scene it can mess with the save, but I’m not sure-- I’ll see if I can fix it!)

Yes! I’m actually making a guide for it which I’ll put below!
There’s two main ways! An easy way and a more difficult / hidden way, so here’s the two main ways to access them:
Easy-Way Breakdown
Easy Way
The easy way is just by asking the “Wanna get out of here?” question.
All you need to access this question is to have flirted with Yolanda!
And! You can actually flirt with her right after the very first question you ask!
The first cool-down (post-question conversation) you have with Yolanda will always be the same, Yolanda will always ask why you were the person chosen to interview her, no matter what first question you ask.
To flirt with her, you need to fulfill only two requirements:
- Be playing as a female MC
- Have Yolanda respect you
^^ This is arguably the trickiest aspect here but! Don’t worry! It’s easy too! In order to gain her respect right off the bat: Tell the truth when she asks you what you think of Nickelport at the very start (and have a strong opinion), OR say you’d never want to be like her. (Also at the very start)
(She doesn’t like liars and likes people who want to carve their own path)
It’s at this point Yolanda should flirt with the MC
She pauses here, the tiniest of playful, enticing smirks lighting her face, “I couldn’t help but be… intrigued, by the woman who I saw was going to interview me.” There’s something a little coy about her tone, you see Yolanda Waltz lean forward, arms resting on her knees as she carefully judges your reaction.
(If you’re seeing this, you’re gucci)
Now you just want to pick one of these two options:
”I like to think I have that effect on most people.” (Flirt)
“Uh… oh… well… I… um…”
Either one of these will set the flirt_yolanda marker true.
Now just pick the
“Wanna get out of here?”
question, agree to her terms, and you’re all set!
And below is purely the options you’ll need to pick in order to get to her romantic scene the quickest. I know I can ramble so I figured it’d be good to make this as well.

Before interview:
Play a female MC
Start of interview:
Either
You answer, ”I love it.”
Or
You answer, “I hate it.”
Or
You’d never want to be like her.
Ask your first question (any question will do)
First question cool-down:
Either:
”I like to think I have that effect on most people.” (Flirt)
Or
“Uh… oh… well… I… um…”
Next pick:
“Wanna get out of here?” (Flirt)
And you’re done!

A Roadmap of Whats Next!
Thank you so so much for your help in answering the polls! Based off of what I’m seeing there and to keep y’all in the loop here’s the two main goals I’m going to plan for the next update:
Adding more questions
I’m going to add some more basic questions to either make Yolanda more or less suspicious. So far not a lot of people have been kicked out of the interview and that’s good because it means I have more space to play around with the results of her suspicion.
To also go with this:
Upping the number of questions you can ask.
With the addition of questions you can ask I’m going to up the inquiry limit before you get kicked out of the interview. This will give you more room to pick and choose what’s important, I hope (allowing you to choose ones that aren’t as important to your article but could be a chance to curry favor / lower suspicion with her / just get to know Yolanda more, or stick to purely info gathering)
This will be a shorter update, and thus also come along quicker (not another year-long gap, aha) and hopefully with the higher inquiry limit and the extra questions make some secret scenes (getting kicked out and her romance, for example) more accessible in general.
