Yeah, I want to implement a glossary eventually. I just need to figure out how to create one in the statpage. =)

I created a choice menu in the statpage, if you click on the trivial, skills or alignment, you stay in the mainmenu while viewing the stats. the vocabulary and scrolls of knowledge have their own choice menu:
- Trivial stats (name, surname, class etc.)
- skills (strength, agility etc.)
- alignment (lawful/chaotic and good/evil)
- vocabulary (the glossary)
- scrolls of knowledge (info about monsters, locations)
Here is the vocabulary. I don’t know what you guys don’t know so if there’s any word you’d like to see in the vocabulary, let me know so I can add to it.
Mana: The source of magic, the building blocks of spells.
Ambient Mana: The surrounding mana in the environment.
Sphere of Influence: The effective range a mage can influence their surroundings. Size depends on how much mana a mage has accumulated.
Weaving: The act of mixing different types energy to cast spells or powerful spells.
Basic elements: The basic elements are fire, water, air and earth. They are called basic because they are the basic building blocks of the world.
Supreme elements: The supreme elements are light and darkness. The elements of life and death. Light magic has the ability to heal any living thing while darkness has the ability to corrode anything. But in the extreme of life is death and in the extreme of death is life. Excess of light magic can kill and excess of dark magic can create undead. Use with caution!
The soul or spirit: There is not much known about this element. What is spirit? What is the soul? What is it made of? How is it possible that this element is present in ambient mana?
Lord (variant; dragon lord, vampire lord etc.): A variant of an animal, beast or monster that is stronger, faster, smarter. Most of the times it becomes the leader of their herd or pack.
Commonwealth: A nation governed by the people, a republic. Lead by a president.
Kingdom: A nation governed by a king, a monarchy.
Stratocracy: A nation governed by the military, lead by a general or admiral.
Theocracy: A nation governed by the clergy. Either lead by a high priest or by divine rule (their god is their king).
Magocracy: A nation governed by mages. Similar in governenance to commonwealth but emphasis is on mages and meritocracy.
Meritocracy: A system in which advancement is based on individual ability and achievement.
Bureaucracy: A nation governed by non-elected officials. It is an administrative government where the government runs self-sufficient and efficiently.
Empire: A nation comprised of multiple kingdom-level titles. An emperor is a king of kings.

Wouldn’t it be better if it’s AoE (Area of Effect) instead of Sphere of Influence. I think the latter term is best used for politics than, well, about magic 
It sounds like I read this before, have you by any chance taken any reference from supreme magus?
AOE is the area effected by a spell vs. sphere of influence is the potential range of a mage’s mana manipulation. AOE is about when the spell is already cast and SOI is about before the spell being cast since nothing is effected yet. Also with SOI you can cast spells that don’t have AOE but do make use of ambient mana. That’s what SOI is for, gathering ambient mana for more powerful spells or manipulating ambient mana without mixing the mage’s own mana. And the potential range a mage can influence the ambient mana is called the sphere of influence.
edit: Mmm… yeah… you’re right. SOI is actually a political term. Oof, I’ll have to think of something.
Yes I took some inspiration from supreme magus. It’s one of the first webnovels I read and for years it was one of my favorite novels.
But that’s not the only thing that inspired this. I also took some inspiration from Eragon (the entire series not just the 1st book), Life of a wizard, Choice of the vampire, Choice of the dragon, Reborn as a dragon, Renegade immortal, Top tier providence and even a little bit of Fourth prince’s debauchery (minus the debauchery ofcourse =P ).
Edit: oh, I forgot to mention choice of magics. (especially the part of suppressed / persecuted mages)
edit2: I forgot to mention stellaris. Yeah I know kinda weird to mention a sci-fi title for a fantasy but stellaris was my inspiration for the different kinds of governments. (except the magocracy, I took that from elder kings mod for crusader kings 3)

I was trying to be punny. I mean -choice- script and a story with choices then you choose to be a politician that gives the illusion of choice. Plus George Carlin screamed in my mind while thinking about writing something about the politician so I had to quote him =P
But don’t worry, politician was scrapped, first I renamed it to merchant but then I changed my mind and nuked the charisma path into oblivion. Now there are 2 family paths, with 2 variations going forward. The charisma stat stays though.

Maybe SOI can simply be named “range”? Just make sure the range is greater than the area of effect!
If I change the term “sphere of inlfuence” to “range” it will do the concept of SOI injustice.
SOI is so much more than just having range. It’s the ability to interact (or mess) with (ambient) mana. The ability to decompose (ambient) mana, to convert (ambient) mana into different types of energies and combine it into spells. And it is in the form of a sphere around the mage
Also there’s another problem with just range, an archer also has range but doesn’t have the ability to influence (or mess) with ambient mana.

Anyways, I’m right now in the process of writing the apprenticeship of the warrior. And I’m having fun writing it =D
I think I’m about halfway of the warrior apprenticeship, it won’t be too detailed though. Just a quick scene with the mentor, showing some details about the apprenticeship itself. Eventually I will make a time-skip of a couple years to jump to the ceremony.
Then I will write something for the other 3 apprenticeships.
After that I will prolly rewrite the ceremony and the rest. But that’s for future me to worry about.
