Midnight Bloodletting (WIP 7.1k Word Teaser)

Summary

Years ago, after a job gone wrong you were left bleeding out. Without any other options, you make a deal with a being. A Devil. Devils are supernatural beings that completely encapsulate an idea of fear or destruction.

Since that fateful night you went from a mercenary of note, to something of legend. You’re often assigned to the most secretive and dangerous jobs made for entire teams, alone (kind of).

Tonight’s mission: Infiltrate the Echis Oil R&D Compound, kill the head R&D scientist, Desmond Thornton, and destroy his research.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

As for a story, this is meant to be a violent, action-filled power fantasy where your MC wrecks havoc to complete their mission with wild powers.

Disclaimer: This is a teaser at best, just enough to get the idea across. At the moment, I plan on this being a short story that only spans the length of the mission. There’s no romance and no plans to further develop this beyond this story right now.

Again, demo ain’t long, but here’s the demo: https://cogdemos.ink/play/yeperoonie/midnight-bloodletting/mygame

Planned Features
  • Make a pact with one of five unique and varied Devils.
  • Choose your load out and equipment.

  • Ignore or chat with your Devil as it chimes in.
Content Warnings

Quick ask for y’all; Do we prefer smaller and more frequent updates, or do we prefer larger updates with more time between?

Currently working on first fight scene, I’m debating whether to release bit by bit, as each Devil’s scene is finished, or to release the scene once the entire fight with all Devil scene finished.

If I go with incremental updates, I will mark incomplete routes so y’all know what’s what.

  • Update frequently; once a route is done.
  • Update less frequently; when the entire scene is finished.
  • Results / no preference.

I briefly read your work, and I love the writing style you used! I think this has a lot of potential.

Unfortunately, the triggers are too intense for me, which is such a shame! Good luck with your work.

This is great! Your writing is clear, not too wordy and very captivating.

It’s very short as you said yourself, but I am excited for more!

I hope more people give this a read!
