@Scrivener Having high charisma has advantages; and being sly evil . I just imagine myself in my castle with MY title and my army; now i only need a pretty noble and a cat. Sadly i have to lost time in battles after doing funny stuff like assassinate read books marry; kill your husband. Now Im thinking… Im describing Skyrim lol.

You have just gotten of my Watch list and onto my Awesome list. Talos be praised your foul magics tempt me. Must… resist… lure!

@Scrivener blessings of Sithis upon you. Charisma always works, now Im waiting to use poison a it could be cool after missions,some social assassinate… social life maybe some jostling romance,break noble houses…

Charisma doesn’t work against ignorant robots. :stuck_out_tongue:

@Mara I can be your noble lol

@Happy if there are robots i got acid poison; they end rust and full of holes.
@vampierkid222 you could try; if the thing don’t work i would make a good funeral for you. I promise :stuck_out_tongue:

@MaraJade may the Night Mother watch over your insidious endeavours. Fortune favors the bold

Yeah; i only want kill my brother; he steal my nobility title, i couldn’t let him have babies. I need a castle to my self imagine after the boring battles; return home decoring it, I don’t now why this game make me talk about Elder scrolls lol.
it has to be something to make me feel that way. Night mother is so cool, but here ,i have to be a warrior. But thankfully, i could random pass battles to return good stuff.

Hmm… game doesn’t want to start properly. Something’s wrong with dropbox again.

@assassinsat how’s the updates coming along bud? Anything new or in the pipeline?

@samuraimantis I had the same problem with a couple of games and even my own but it looks like it is fixed now. Try the link and tell me if it does.

@muklin I didn’t write anything for a week or so, sorry. My excuse is that I’ve been reading up on English history again from 1380s to 1420s (and mostly playing EUIV :P) to set the background for the game.

On that note, should I make this out of historical events only or a mix of historical and fictional events or should I create a kingdom of my own which is similar to England?

@assassinsat

Mix of historical events.

I think making it strictly historical events would make it a bit predictable if you know of British history, while making England II sounds a bit unnecessary.

Personally, I’d like to see it done only with historical events, however fictional characters that “could have” existed can be included. Then from there, based on your decisions and actions, you have the potential to “change history” in the game… If that makes sense.

@ragEgnite England II would be fun to create though :stuck_out_tongue: Would it be boring if it is predictable?

@fortunesfaded Fictional characters will definitely be added but about the change history thing… How much of history would you like to be able to change? Entire events or just small parts?

I am thinking of making large events such as the dethroning of RIchard II, the Welsh rebellion and the Hundred years’ war go on unchanged. Any change to at least one of those would lead to several different plots. And changing them were beyond the limits of a minor noble such as the PC anyway although if he or she were to increase in rank… they might get a chance.

So basically it will be like CoB, where the war is beyond the player’s choices but he or she can improve their standing and exert their role in a limited scope.

@assassinsat

Well if you’re like me who knows as much about English history as they know Portugese, I imagine it’ll be fun. I just imagine it wouldn’t be as interesting if it was more strict on historical accuracy. But that’s just me.

@assassinsat I’d say you can change however may be realistically possible for your character. After all, the game is set in the time period, and in real life the MC didn’t exist, so right there is the potential for change. As in, the only things that are changed in the game is what the character can or decides to change, as at that point in “history” what happens in the future has not yet occurred. It may not be within the character’s ability to change certain events, but I suppose what I’d like to see is a true historical simulation - the game is set in, say, the year 1200 (probably isn’t, just giving an example). Then that means all that has happened prior to 1200 HAS happened as it did in true history. However, all that happens after 1200 has not happened YET, as in that moment in the game it is 1200, not 2013 looking back at 1200. And since it would be 1200 in the game, and you are playing someone who did not exist in real life, you have the potential to affect the outcome of the actual future.

WHEW that was a jumbled mouthful

i agree with fortunes for male mc. Female mc has no accuracy except he is a French virgin witch from Orleans about to die by fire. Female mc has no sense historicaly, so a mix between fantasy and reality is your only choice.

@ragegnite You are right on that point. And not everyone is interested to know the fine points of medieval English history.

@fortunesfaded I will definitely play that game! but making it will be too much for just me. Still I admit that one of the interesting features of playing a historical game is being able to change the outcome of events significantly so I will add something along your idea.

@marajade That can be arranged! I will gladly add an option only available to my dear friend marajade so that she can burn herself to death :stuck_out_tongue: I know we discussed something along this line earlier but would you really like to play as a male character in this type of a game? Personally if I was a girl, I would want a female PC even if it was ahistorical.

i agree with you fun,but if you want to be historical no women fighting, i would enjoy the game if only could poison people make dresses and launch parties i still being noble because i still lands stolen from my dear bro and husbands.Lady Mara

all the political and assassination fun without boring fights who skip, i pay for that.

@marajade maybe you should play intrigue if you want to poisen people :stuck_out_tongue:

@assassinsat I agree with fortunesfaded, make it your own from where the mc starts. Gives you a lot more freedom without dealing with the accuracy of past events.

Looking forward to some epic battles :stuck_out_tongue:
