Magium - The mage tournament - Now available on Google Play and App Store

@sahilnare

I’ll answer your questions from the other thread here.

  1. I’m not sure how many chapters there will be in the next book. I’ll try to keep the book at the same length as the last one, but then again, the last book’s chapters had quite irregular lengths. The first two chapters combined were two or three times shorter than the last chapter.

  2. Decisions from this book will affect your fate in the 2nd book, but none of them as severely as splitting the whole book in two, for instance. I’d say that the biggest difference will be whether a certain character from your team is alive or dead at the end.

  3. Rose cannot be revived once she died. There will be a discussion about this at the start of the 2nd book. If you want Rose to live, you need to save her in the 1st book. The death of Rose will not split the whole series in two, because Rose was only part of your team until you escorted her safely back home. Now that the tournament has resumed, if Rose lives, she will remain in her hometown, while the rest of you will be busy with the tournament, which will require you to travel to different cities. You will still keep in contact with her, through the transceiver that Daren gave her, but you won’t meet face to face again until later in the story.

Love Magium~

This is similar to my fav Japanese Isekai Novels

Make Flower romanceable please~

Thank you very much :slight_smile:

@Alexander_Reinfield

Sorry, Flower and Illuna are practically both asexual and aromantic, so to speak.

Flower never went through puberty, and she wasn’t the kind of girl that would think about romance at the age of ten. She won’t be interested in romantic relationships no matter how old she gets.

Illuna is a banshee, and banshees do not reproduce. They are all female, and they get born from the Magium directly, so they have no attraction towards any sex.

Well… That’s unfortunate… sigh…

She’s the most interesting female character…

It’s either Kate and Rose, huh? Ella too maybe?

No, Ella will stay at the mansion, and you won’t really have much more interaction with her in the following books.

There will be another female character introduced in the 2nd book, which will travel with you for a while, and which you can spend one night with. Not sure yet for the other books.

Kate will only be romanceable in the final book.

I need to get full immersion achievement
I tried different options but I cant get this
Pd waiting book two, you will have a no points used ending on every book?

Lol, so I am friend-zoned until then? That will be fine as long as she gives small signals she’s interested, but doesn’t want to take that step.

That said, I love your story so far. Honestly I was not too impressed in the first chapter, but I really got hooked later on. Furthermore, I like how different stat combinations offer slight alterations. I look forward to the next book!!

How do I get Average Joe-achievement in chapter 11? The minimum stats I’ve passed with was Speed: 3, Reflexes: 1, rest: 0. It seems quite impossible with 0 in everything. I’ve got all the other 34 achievements, but this one is still bothering me.

@Davizzz

To get the full immersion achievement, you need to go look at the stats screen when Eiden tells you to look at the stat device.

My current plan is to keep the average joe achievement for all the books.

@Colgate

The best way to go about completing this achievement is to save constantly, and to load a recent save every time you run into a failed check that kills you. If you realize that every action since your last save kills you no matter what you do, then you’ll probably need to restart from the last checkpoint. With the exception of chapter 2, every chapter can be finished from start to finish with zero stats, regardless of what choices you made in previous chapters.

Chapter 2 is the exception, because you’ll need to have told Daren the truth about being a normal human in chapter 1, if you want to survive it without stats.

It’s hard to tell where you’ve died from telling me just your stats, but I’m gonna go ahead and guess that you died in one of these three situations:

  1. in chapter 2, because you lied to Daren in chapter 1 about being a stillwater
  2. in chapter 3, at the crossbowmen, because you didn’t abandon Kate and go call Daren
  3. in chapter 7, because you didn’t choose to call Rose through the transceiver, and then leave the clearing as fast as you could.

If it’s neither of these situations, then if you want more specific advice, you’re going to have to tell me where you are failing your checks.

@Nemeean_lion
It’s in chapter 3. I tried to call for Daren, but it doesn’t work, because Kate’s barrier makes me turn away.

That’s because you pissed Kate off before, and she didn’t tell you how you can pass through the barrier. When she told you that Daren would be fine, and that you didn’t need to go back for him, you should have asked her “Why not?” and she’d have told you how to cancel the barrier’s effects.

This book was absolutely amazing, I was hooked off the get go. Now doing my second play through to save Rose! I didn’t save her first time around and I’m so bummed because of it! Character development was just superb, really makes you feel for each and every person you meet. Loved the slavery aspect at the end. Highlighted that aspect beautifully. If I can donate I would! Can’t wait for the next book. Keep up the wonderful work! <3 <3

@Aaron_Edwards Careful with the spoiler though, you should probably spoiler code your post as some might not know that could happen.

Anyways, in regard to the book, I just read it yesterday and absolutely loved it! Was a very pleasant read and i’m now going through it again to (hopefully) get all the achievements. Can’t wait for the second book!

Hello, just like @Ast I opened this account just to tell you I loved Magium and to thank you for working out the whole thing. I just finished the whole first book this morning, and I had installed it barely two days ago. I just couldn’t stop, I COULD NOT SLEEP THROUGH THE NIGHT knowing that I had to find out what was to be next, really REALLY impressive, I’ve spent my life reading fantasy stories and for what my opinion is worth this was way to awesome, you should write books of this kind you know, I think you’re brilliant. The only problem is waiting one month for each chapter, it’s only some hours and I’m already craving for more. Anyway if that’s the price to pay it’ll be totally worth it, please take your time and make it the best you can. I just had one question, I’ve seen on this site other threads and I’ve read through them, finding out that in the original story(a demo you wrote last year) the protagonist was in fact the Flower/Ilunna character, but all the links on those threads were expired. I was wondering if you have five minutes for an explanation, since it’s unlikely that I’m getting it from visiting those links. Thank you again for all (btw I was also hoping for a Kate-Barry romance, so I’m glad there will be the chance, but p.lease keep any detail secret for the sake of surprise)

@Magium97

Hi,

The story from one year ago was actually a prequel to this story. It was following the events that happened twenty years before the tournament, right after Flower and Illuna’s souls fused together, and you would play the role of Illuna. I wanted to start with a prequel to try my hand at writing a bit before delving into the main series. I’ve only written the first 3 chapters of it, and the domain of the website it was hosted on has since expired. I’m planning to continue working on it, but only after I finish working on the main series, which will be a few years from now.

I didn’t reupload it on the new site, because there were a lot of spoilers in it for the main story, especially regarding the still winter. I’m also planning to rewrite the story in 1st person, to match the writing style of the main series.

Thank you now I understand better!!

I basically played through this bit by bit everyday and I loved it. I’m literally hooked and can’t wait for the next novel. Does anyone have recommendation on any similar novels (in terms of genre) that is as good as this?? I never really got into reading books unless it’s for school but I think reading games like these pique my interest!
