@darkstar2101 actually, break blade the film came out about 2010. I’m not watching the show though.

In any case, I hope to see more soon. I also do feel that the MC is out of place a bit…or more likely whatever the MC’s actions are, he/she will turn out for the better…or It might be that I haven’t gone through all of the choices/outcomes yet.

@TheOtherAlice Most of the choices so far in Chapter 2 (I’m discounting Chapter 1 because it’s the character gen bit) is that you will eventually succeed but you take a few hits that hurt you. There is a very specific path to take if you want to see the MC die, or have the MC’s suit be so badly damaged that s/he has to sit out the final battle against the pack. As I’ve mentioned a few posts earlier also, you can also get Ami and Jax killed in the cove mission, so does that count as enough failures?

Woah this game is amazing, I really love the setting and there is great work when it comes to character interactions and NPCs personalities. I’m looking forward to seeing where you take this. Really great work, keep it up.

This is amazing! I like the soldier feels I’m getting from this.

Thanks to everyone for their kind words and encouragement. Chapter 3 is coming along very nicely at the moment although I can’t quite put down a date as to when it’ll be done. Maybe a month’s time perhaps?

It’s an interesting story to be sure, but it needs some serious proof reading. I’m not sure if this is an error, but if it is, it’s one you may not know is an error. You say that Balogh is “bemused and tired”, bemused means bewildered and confused… Based on the context I think you meant amused.

@Shoelip Found and fixed. Not updated yet though since I’m going to wait until I finish Chapter 3 before compiling and posting up. Anyways, thanks for the error read. It’s hard to proof-read my own stuff >_>

@Grapefruit

Oooooh I get it now lol I though it was a typo sorry

Love this beta version so good but is there a possible way to capture the pirates when I helped them out. This kind of reminds me of IS units or in the movie Avatar those big machines that people could pilot and can you go on missions with other nations like china,Russia, America, maybe even visit Ami country Japan to train newbies in the units?

@jcsunshine_3 At the moment, there is no possible way to capture the pirates since they will always take the chance to flee when you’re fighting the pack. Currently there’s no plans to visit other countries via missions though I am open to suggestions.

@Grapefruit when you say combat affects all abilities in combat does that refer to magic as well or does that rely on another stat?

@817819 Any time you pick an option that sounds like it’s about fighting, it’ll be the combat stat. This also includes magic combat but most of the time, you won’t be flinging around fireballs and lightning bolts if that’s what you’re asking about  For ease of convenience, it does mean that yes, a MC who is skilled at guns in this games is also skilled at martial arts, sword-fighting and hurling bolts of magic.

Or does combat mean the MC is skilled at using magic as a weapon, and how much magic they can use depends on the magic stat.

@God_of_Demonz Combat is all forms of combat, for example guns, CQC and magic combat. Magic is a yes or no button in mechanical terms at this point. Either you have it or not. The game checks to see if you have the magic trait or not after it checks your level of skill. If you have the magic trait and sufficiently high enough skill, you’ll get the success portion of your choice. There are certain options that appear only when you have the magic trait and these options, when used will deplete your Health score. Makes sense?

Yes, thank you clarifying Grape. Just wanted to have a clear understanding of using magic in combat.

However, is there a division of the military that is just mages using magic and nothing else? Also, is magic used as a power source? An example being a magical generator, and if there are then can mages use them to bolster their magical power?

Would Wit be used for long distance sniping? Due to to calculation of bullet drop, wind speed, air humidity, lead(or negative lead if you’re in a moving vehicle), etc, or is that also Combat? Sorry if you feel that you’ve already made it clear, but I’m trying to get a firm grasp of which stats will be used in certain situations.

@God_of_Demonz At the moment, there isn’t a pure mage division in any of the world’s country. It’s simply more efficient to train them as normal soldiers but with extra magical capabilities as there’s so few mages around in the world during the story. As for magic being used as a power source, you can check out the Magitekno (soon to be renamed as Magitek) engine and the eponymous powered armor used in this game is used to power your magical abilities further.

Wits is used for any sort of thinking on the fly or knowledge checks. Long distance sniping will be under the purview of Combat for now, unless there’s some additional knowledge that you should know. For instance, the barrel shooting part in the cove mission checks for high Wits, not high Combat. Anyone can shoot a stationery barrel after all.

Is it possible to change our relationship with Morgan over the course of the game?
Like, start as rivals and eventually become lovers, or vice-versa?

@RedRoses Aside from that one small change at the start, no. Well at least not according to my plans for Morgan anyways.

Wait you can’t romance her whys the option to kiss her there then I mean it would then seem that your building a romance to fail. Oh well then will there be any other options romance options at least

@BrandonbigK You can romance Morgan at the start but after that one change, your relationship for Morgan is fixed permanently. And yes, there will be other romance options along the way.
