The link also didn’t work for me, so I sent the files in an email (will try to check my email again in an hour, but I need to run and do something, and will be away from my computer for a few hours after that…)

If not it will be OK, I have to spend most of the day setting files up for the judges so if there is a problem tonight we can resolve during that time. I will be back on in here in an hour.
So a total of seven games submitted. Have sent all the game links the judges will be able to start tomorrow afternoon. To the rest great effort and I hope you take what you wrote and turn them into full blown games.
*Edit seem there maybe more, they just did not notify me they uploaded.
Downloading all files to check I do not miss any, All upload links will be disabled.

I’ll pm you a link here in a sec.
I have a long day tomorrow starting the process of getting this up for all the judges to start scoring. During the process if I have any problems with the files I will be send out messages. It can take up to a week before all the games are up for the judges.
I am off to bed take care all.

No, I won’t be, unfortunately. I only finished the prologue and the first chapter. I have a mildly-okay excuse! I worked… am working… so much. help me i’m dying.
However, I might submit it on the forums one day! It’s a fun piece. There’s murder! And glam rock!
Good luck, everybody!

There are 10 entries. This reminds me of the last Windhammer Prize Competition, when there were also 10 of them.
Out of 6 possible reward (including 3 merit ones), I got none. The good thing is that I used a big part of the entry in Twin Flames

Hey I was down there with ya. For someone to win, someone’s gotta lose, doesn’t always mean it’s bad. I often enter things not expecting to place, not to say I don’t try, but I’m willing to understand I may be outclassed by authors who write something better, or at the very least that the judges enjoy more so I try not to get too down about it. I have limited time and so have to be a bit picky about what I have time for and didn’t enter this year (saw it didn’t get enough entries to even run) as one of the main reasons for entering Windhammer was to get some feedback not to win, but got nothing through official channels which was disappointing. I don’t know, maybe not many people sent feedback, or no one reviewed mine. (Although one blog did give me their opinion which was great.) Every time you publish something I notice a big improvement, so keep at it
Edit: Actually just checked, there were 16 entries- so way more people entered than I remembered.

I think my entry this year is a case against procrastinating- if I had waited at all to get started on it, I wouldn’t have had it in shape to turn in. Even though it’s not in shape to turn in, in the sense I’m not satisfied with it, when shit hit the fan for me about 3/5 of the way through the month, working on CScomp was not something I felt like doing at all. I was expecting a little over ten more days to work on it, and I think I may have made it at least competitive if I’d had that time… but the thing is, I’m pretty proud of what I did get done with the time I did have, even though I think it’s fair and understandable if it doesn’t win anything. I’m glad I was able to turn in an entry because even though things didn’t turn out the way I thought they would, I still worked really hard with the time I was able to work on it and I accomplished a lot. And I feel good about that. I’m not satisfied with what I think my entry is as a competitor in the competition… but I am satisfied with the effort that I put into it. For everyone who worked on a project this year, congratulations. You have to show for yourself the effort that you put in.

I for one am quite happy with this CSComp. Even if I don’t place in a decent position, it was a really good exercise, both for writing and coding. Given that I had a late start 'cause I didn’t even know what to do with the theme, I feel like I did a good job.
Also, I know last year was terrible (for me), but I learned my lesson; never ever trust Sublime Text.
I’m not much of a positive person, but I feel quite calm (even confident) with my entry; I don’t know how much it will appeal to you, but I do like it, which is important
Let’s just hope that I will still like it next month, when it’s out in the open for everyone to see my shame all the mistakes that I’ve surely made
Me waiting for the results next month

I’m the same as far as the theme. I didn’t decide how I wanted to do it till like past halfway through the month and I don’t think I won anything. But I’m still glad I did it.
This motivated me to actually write something in CS and I wrote like 24k of it in four days. I’ve never written that much of anything in that much time. If I’d kept up the pace maybe I would’ve finished but oh well. And now I’ll get critiques in a bit (a month?) so I already feel pretty rewarded.
My fingers are crossed that no one but the judges will judge me when the results come out haha. Plus I really like parts of what I’ve done and kinda wanna continue it after this. Once I’ve fixed/expanded on what I want to but didn’t have the time for and also what the judges suggest. If that’s how it works. And if I don’t turn out to be a total goof at interactive fiction.
But yeah, I didn’t feel anxious or embarrassed when I submitted. I felt like I’d accomplished something. And I’m sure people’s entries will be great. I’m especially interested in whichever one(s) win(s) the two romance categories. Imagine one takes them both. I’d probably run to that one tbh.

The judges have a few games already to start on, everything will be uploaded by Wednesday for the judges. Once the judges have all the material I will send links out to each participant to their game to ensure nothing was missed. Good luck to you guys and gals

A bit late but I wanted to say that this was a great learning experience! Unfortunately the real world (ew) got in the way of much progress on my end, but I have the basis of a game now that I would love to expand upon one day and new characters that I’m in love with. (Let’s add that to my ever-growing list.
)
To those who completed a game - I can’t wait to enjoy them. It’s like a new holiday where you get to read so many new games at once. Simply marvelous. To those who didn’t, I hope you had as much fun as I did.
Good job everyone!
