To answer your questions:

The current demo update removed the random generation, so you should see consistent genders from here on out! They’re determined now based on a combination of MC pronouns/sexuality. I understand how the switching could feel jarring between playthroughs and to be honest, when I wrote the first 3 chapters I just… didn’t consider people would play it more than once?
So this was actually some of my favorite feedback to get when I received it on tumblr and here. Thanks very much! If for any reason you replay and it’s not working, let me know and I’ll look into it. -
The jack of all trades doesn’t receive a penalty! I’m still fiddling with the stats, but the intent is to give a broader set of base stats for the jack that are slightly lower than someone who specializes in one discipline. After that, MC’s choices can increase their skills. There are also sometimes “background” checks, since sometimes regardless of what skills a player has trained via choices, it just makes sense that their MC would know how to do something. This is where I think the jack gets the most “balancing” from, since they tend to auto-pass more of these than other backgrounds, even if they might have to put in more effort to pass super-high skill checks. An example of this is that the jack will have an easy time climbing up to the window in chapter 2.

My plan is to include the option for players to engage in nsfw scenes where it makes sense in the game(s) (my original intent has been to make this 3 games but I’m seeing how well this first one goes before I jump to that conclusion, lol) but never to require it! A full romance can be done with or without those scenes.

Yes! And not super stat-heavy. There aren’t any “bad” endings or game-overs, but failing a stat check at a crucial moment can have an impact on the scenes you get. I tend to write conscious player choices as having a bigger impact, though. So stats matter, but your MC’s choices matter more.

After a bit of googling I believe a face frame = character art, yes? I’d love to do something like that in the future, oh my goodness. Unfortunately I’m not an artist, and a fair commission price for 9 pieces of art (since Keo/Rin/Wren can have 3 different genders) isn’t something I think I can afford. What I could do, though, is put together some mood boards that speak to each of their appearances! If that’s something you’d be interested in, let me know and I’ll add it to my items to create for tumblr

Probably? When I click through myself it worked fine. I tried it again just now and I can see chapter 6 
The startup.txt file had some changes made to it (and so had to be reuploaded), so it’s possible that’s affecting things in the way you’re describing. If it persists after a restart let me know and I can try reuploading all the assets. And thanks for playing!
