Yeah we have a very brief conversation with one in chapter 1

What kind of expression/demeanor are they supposed to have. Cause I was using what was listed in their profile to make the AI portrait. The prompt I was using goes like this (with the glasses included now).

Summary

“A authoritative woman in her 20s with dark brown hair, amber eyes, umber skin tone, wearing medieval clothes, normal glasses and a determined demeanor”.

Guess I maybe should’ve taken out “medieval clothes” seeing as they’re in a somewhat modern age. Can you also include their clothing too?

During the era of Shadow: we use magic
Current era: now we pull out the blicky

No loss of mana, doesnt cause strain

Certain spells the shows/movies dont show are as fast as guns and, maybe as deadly. Depends on whats used and required to fire with as well.

I may be out of mana but I’m not out of options.

To quote Grunt but with some changes. “I don’t need magic, I have ammo.”

@Valixon Some of the Fallen are still alive. They have long lifespans pertaining to certain conditions.

That was not a Fallen.

I’m kind of expecting modern fantasy soldiers in this game to look like this.

Female

Male

These images don’t exactly get my point across but they’re good enough.

Down with whomever started this war!

:grinning:

My intention is that this war ends with me in charge of both nations.

Congrats on your marriage! And glad to have you back. One good news so far on this year.

Will Kairi be on this version? She was my RO last time

Now that’s interesting. I’m curious about what “in the shadows” means in this context. If it’s anything like irl, I assume the SD is a sort of illegal political party/secret society a la the Bolsheviks, and probably have a variety of smaller partisan groups aligned with them and members of various demographics and institutions (i.e. the peasantry, the Military etc.), who spread the word to their fellows.

The main question, which I assume we’ll learn about soon, is how much influence do they have in the government itself? Condor is already in the Graelian military. It’s pretty common for elements of the military to go rogue and join rebel factions, but I’m curious whether we’re going to have a situation where only a few soldiers defect to the rebels and Condor is one of them, or if it’ll be a full-blown Red October situation where a good chunk of the army mutinies at the start.

I think I like this better than the original so far seems more fleshed out

Thank you for your work.

My opinion, the prologue was very good. Intriguing mystery set up around the stars and your betrayal. Combat options were visceral and brutal.

To be honest though, I thought chapter 1 was a large step down in quality. The idyllic (but somewhat dull) opening followed by not 1, not 2, but 3 separate heroic death scenes was too much. It felt like tragicomedy.

It also didn’t tie to the previous story at all, to me. I get the bad guys are from the Chosen One’s nation, but besides that, nada.

I personally would recommend starting the main story in media res, introducing more of the linking elements earlier, letting us handle our real MC for a while, and then telling the tragedy through dreams, nightmares, or ptsd memory sequences. Also allows the various tragedies to be spaced out as different events, rather than having them be back to back to back.
