Anyways, even if Kat knows theory, it still does not explain how Sophia is as well-trained in “fire jutsu” as she is portrayed as being in Rein’s path. We can assume that she will not receive formal training at Lucrasia, unless @Sophia wants to give minor spoilers with post-parental death scenes.

The mage stayed in the village for a week, so he taught Sofy some stuff.( she was 7 )
If I were Sophia’s parents, it would be a hassle to travel to the academy or travel to Rosebay cuz it would take 40 mins - 1 hr to travel.
