It can but I’m sure she had some jewels from being a royal that she could’ve easily brought (i.e. necklaces, rings, hairpieces, etc.) Many of those would be fancy enough to sell on the market.
She can go incognito. Nobody has seen Sophia and if the archmage is trustworthy, Sophia should be fine.
