How come Marxus love Melissa when she kinda distant to him?
Will we ever get into a fight with our brother?
On the kings deathbed can we tell them we hate them?
How long does ser Javier potentially stay by our side
Does joey and chandler ever become friend again?
Marxus has a mother complex, and is usually attracted to older women. Melissa has this mature body, and is quite developed for her age. When Marxus met her, she was 15, but stands tall for her age, like Sansa Stark. Marxus was already attracted to her that time, but holds no feelings.
Quite difficult to say when it started. As a good husband, Marxus cared for Melissa’s well-being. I believe his attraction and care developed into love, but I must call the most experienced in love… @IronRaptor.
Yes, that’s one of the reasons why Marxus died.
Deathbed? I thought you were going to kill him?
In canon, Javier was with King Reinhardt. He stays until your child turns 12.
Huh, I didn’t expect that from someone who have bad experience and relationship with older woman look at Queen Victoria
Is he die at that time?
Ok you got me I was hoping to do a assasins creed death scene with him explaining why he had to go, why he will never be my father, and that I plan to erase him from the pages of history.
I have been summoned!
Sooo, you want to know what love is and you want me to tell you?
First, listen to Haddaway, bang your head a few times and then ask me your questions.
Agreed, let him be a cautionary tale.
That does sound like AC although I don’t know which one
I say it’s better to keep it, so future ruler can know what happens if king rules like that whatever it is good or bad thing for them.
What greater pain for a king to know as they lay dying that their own kin and killer will personally ensure they well never be remembered, to not exist becuase of the actions of their own sons hatred of them.
It pure crultey to do to a king your own father, especially telling them your going to do it and after you struck the blow that will kill them.
That does seems good
although it’s seems also impossible to erase his history completely, besides is he one of those people who cares whatever he in history or not? He can be one of those people who didn’t care about it.
How does love develop?
Wow, that is pretty deep. Let’s see, with my wife it started off with lots of long conversations over mutual interests, going on “adventures” to show me new things around the city as I was relatively new in town and she was a native. So, a lot of surface stuff at first.
Then at some point the conversation switches and you start to get deep and you uncover layers about the person. So you can experience the good, bad and the ugly. If you can go through that with someone and they accept you, faults and all, then I think you begin to move on to “real” love.
At this point you are sharing ideas on beliefs, where you see the future heading and you find it is rather easy for you to imagine the other person in the future with you.
My wife and I did all of that in 3 months time. Granted we were 28/29 when we met, so we were both fairly mature adults who knew what we wanted. I proposed on New Year’s, our engagement was twice as long as our dating time and then we got married.
We have been at it for over 5 years now, and I guess the definition of love has changed. Yes, I still feel the “passion” for her but that isn’t the important thing. It is taking care of her as if I was taking care of myself. Sometimes that calls for a lot of self sacrifice on my part. It also means that I do my best to protect her and my kid. Is it easy? Heck no. However, I have to say it is worth it.
So yeah, I can say I project a lot of those feelings towards the Sophia character when I play. A big reason is that we start off married even though we never went through the “courting” phase. It is probably why I (and perhaps Marxus) go down the road pf not engaging in “relations” with our spouse. Even though we are legally and even religiously permitted to do so. However you asked for views on love and not intimacy…
So, that is a high level view of my thoughts and experiences. You will have to ask me more specific things for a more specific answer.
Thank you, IronRappy.
Your answer was very deep, and I didn’t expect that. (A compliment)
In the case of Marxus, is it possible for the feeling of “I care for her”’ turn into romantic love? Marxus is generally caring to women, and it is also possible that he may confuse his feelings. Maybe his feelings regarding Melissa is not the romantic one.
Calling @DUNGEON_MASTER, @Szaal and @Harian in this debate.

I smell… a chance… about this one.
All long-lasting romantic love begins with “I care for him/her”, IMO.
If someone start to thinking of somebody anywhere, anytime, and in any circumstance, they’re about to cross the line of “romantic love”.
Is that obsession or love?
How Marxus thinks about King Andus.
He respects him. Despite his absence in his life and cruelity, King Andus is undeniably good at managing the kingdom. He is mostly known as a warrior, who savagely killed his enemies in battle. Marxus admires his skill with the sword and his leadership.
But a good king does not say a good father. Yes, Marxus and and his father never got to bond together. Marxus longed for his father, that’s why he pursued being a knight, in hopes of getting praised by him. Besides, King Andus is the only family he has left, except for the mc.
What’s the difference?
It’s hard to love a thing/person if you can’t be obsessed with them.
Toxic relationship, control freak and stuff? It might be also paranoia.
Perhaps he took notice of how unhappy she was and took it upon himself to “raise her spirits”, initially failing do to not really knowing her. From there he may have tried to get to know her, ultimately developing and obsession when she began to avoid him. Her beauty and his lack of other female companionship(or husbandly duties) may have warped his obsession into an infatuation, causing him to fall in love with a twisted perception of Melissa as an unhappy maiden in need of a Knight to teach her joy, ect ect.
