Wouldn’t it more better if he see that his favorite son cares to mc that he really hate and make him life his actions consequences in negative way though? I feel like death is easy way for someone like him.
Meh Id just defame him in the senate and/or obliterate him and Marxus at whatever they are best at
nope, for me marxus betrayed the bro code with melissa. so he will suffer a painful death.
I talking about king andus
Well, you’re fixing to get the chance to “one up” Marxus at the tournament. Which is what Marxus is good at beyond leading armies into battle. I’m sure it’s not going to be easy.
Good puppet. pats your head and then eats popcorn.
Edit: Ok, I saw the later reply. I only pick death for him because of his actions. However, before he goes down, I would like him to see that the brothers are united and that the Golden General leads my armies while he is happily married to Mel.
but i dont want to befriend marxus, so thats a non viable option for me
King Andus, marxus not done anything like that yet
You still can make him life his actions consequence, death is easy way for him with mess he left behind
id rather have melissa kill marxus, that way will be enough reward for me, but it still give me satisfaction to kill him so thats why i dont want to let him live
I’d rather not. The psychological impact of her killing someone would likely break her. Granted, I’m sure this is something that @Sophia would actually write (as well as a legitimate choice that people could make) but that is not how I would want the story to go through my choices.
I talking about king andus, I probably should have clarify that
ah, i hate andus too much to not kill him (maybe humuliate or dismembering him before killing him will be fun
)
so long as she doenst care if i kill him, im okey with killing him myself.
How’d he even manage to have some affection for the often absent man to begin with?
I’m not sure how to feel about the fact that between Melissa, Andus, and the Second Prince, the Second Prince seems to only be third place in regards to his brother’s affections (currently). I think I’m actually more insulted about the fact that the Second Prince is lower than the emotionally absent father (but then again, the King does favor him, so he probably didn’t have to deal with too much stuff from Andus personally…just from being his illegitimate child); will the situation be different if the Second Prince has been actively trying to reach out and bond with his half-brother
Speaking of Melissa and Marxus though…
Will our brother ever man up, sit down with the Second Prince, and actually address the big elephant in the room between them: The Second Prince and Melissa’s past with each other (especially if the Second Prince had feelings for her). It’s almost feels a little insulting that Marxus doesn’t seem to respond to the fact that he married a girl that his little brother had known since he was young and even more so when he doesn’t seem to acknowledge the fact that he (possibly) took his brother’s first love from him (unintentionally so and far from his fault to begin with, but the effects still feels similar).
As much as I’m fine with Marxus being genuinely in love with Melissa, the fact he doesn’t try to talk to his brother about the matter just really rubs me the wrong way. At the very least, the Second Prince deserves to have his brother look him in the eyes and talk about thing with him (including his feelings on the matter) rather than just try pretending that Andus didn’t just have him marry the girl that his little brother had (possibly) loved.
My main MC isn’t going to kill andus, partly because he genuinely doesn’t want power, and partly because he considers Andus grudge against him a low priority in the face of fixing Melissa and Marxus’s marriage, keeping Sophia alive, and trying to build a life of his own.
Thank you for your eloquent words. I was going to wait until post Chapter 3 and revisions to bring this up but I do agree with what you are saying. The brothers do need a serious chat at some point. Granted, depending on the results of the tournament, the brothers might not want to have a discussion. All of this remains to be seen.
Destiny might not give you the simple life that you desire.
You make a good point, but I think your ignoring the fact that Marxus and your mc are kept mostly apart from each other, and don’t really know each other well, and don’t seem to meet again before the MC’s marriage.
How would you, as a man smitten in an unhappy marriage with a girl who couldn’t even be called an aquatanence before said marriage, broach the subject of the girls relationship with the half sibling you’ve met on a handful of occasions. Who your sole living parent tells you is an enemy. who has just himself been married to a complete stranger. a stranger who does nothing to hide her scorn for the marriage, the groom, and your country in general.
As someone who can’t think of a good way to bring such a subject up to my real life brothers that I was raised with, I’m very interested to hear your solution.
There are a lot of ways the topic can be raised. Brotherly moments when it like they sit down and catch up with the life’s of each other
Again we’re talking about to people who know of each other mostly through 2nd or 3rd hand accounts, who have only met a couple of times, and who’s parents are actively pushing away from each other. Even if the characters think of each other as brothers, they, or at least Marxus, doesn’t have that degree of trust yet. I’m not saying it shouldn’t happen, just that it’s something that they need to get closer before Marxus feels emotionally comfortable discussing with the MC.
I don’t want a simple(boring) life. I just want a life in general that goes beyond being a (expendable)pawn in Andus’s plans or the crux of mother dearest’s power mongering schemes.
