That is true but @Sophia can correct me if my memory is slipping: Isn’t Marxus using a form of magic that boosts his physical stats?
If that is correct, then while magic isn’t an actual event, you can still use it to “fight fire with fire.” Also, this is where a high Sophia relationship would help as blademaster MC might not notice brother’s magic initially.

I think he really skilled in any combat but most skilled in sword or Jousting if not both, i think. Also he using magic as some kind of protection, if memory serves me right his magic status is 30-40
She almost have no reason to feel that hatred though, almost.

Mm…Doubtful. Marxus is an ok guy. I think he would see that as unfair.

I think he would or daddy might make him do so. He cannot afford to be one upped by little brother. Also, if Marxus is beaten on a “national stage” and daddy finds out we were helped (i.e. by Sophia) then he would find some way to show us as incapable (let’s say our new land is poor for instance and he expects a certain task, or sends us on “impossible” diplomatic missions) or try to kill us or those who help us.
Let’s face it: We know we are in the crosshairs for a reason, this could be a possible catalyst.
Let’s dig deeper then. Daddy can influence the judges, Marxus being “caught” using physical enhancement is doubtful given Andus and Marxus’ own reputation.
The trick is jousting. Strength to deliver the blow is needed, the ability to stay upright is important as well. Tipped lances can be a “thing” and probably where @Sophia intends the possible injury to come from.
Magic would be hard to apply here. Sophia’s fire jutsu won’t help (too flashy, we’d get caught) and we don’t know the full extent of our abilities.
