Also, I’m still waiting for @Sophia to pitch her two paths so I can vote. For instance, Is Sophia going to cover a few days between dinner and going out? Is it going to cover a shorter span of time? I guess that’s the bigger unknown to me as we’ve been chatting up the third chapter moreso than the POV.

This is where lore comes in. I have no doubt if I went with my Reinhardt version of the MC that he would definitely not be wearing as heavy of armor as my brother is. Also, we know full well that Marxus has some kind of magical enhancement going for him. So what we don’t know is: A. The range of “book MC’s” magic abilities (assuming you went magic), how much martial skill you have, preferably in blades because I honestly doubt @Sophia will let us pack arrows in the final duel. That would injure/potentially kill Marxus because you can’t blunt arrows and expect them to be effective unless your name is Hawkeye or Oliver Queen.
Then there comes the non-combat skill checks. Particularly perception or charisma. The former for finding a weakness and exploiting it, making a STR or blades check easier. The latter for taunting Marxus, doing the same thing as PER.
Ultimately, it depends on how Sophia writes it and if we’re going to get bonuses for blasting him at range or the quality of equipment that we do bring along with us.
Perception and Charisma I have. We’re good there. Buuut my Blades is rather low. Archery is even lower. (Let’s not mention magic ) My MC isn’t a very combat-oriented one. Like I said, his first choice would be not to go to the tournament at all, but when his mother and uncle demanded an answer he just resigned himself to it. (TL;DR No matter how Sophia writes this, my poor guy is going down xD)
Both are using a set of half plate, giving us a bit more mobility than the full plate. Perfect as the mage wants to engage Marxus from afar. Now the second one is carrying an arming sword, pretty much what I imagine we’ve been using so far in the game. Now I doubt @Sophia will let us have it but…
A skilled staff wielder could compete with the sword when it comes to reach, having the blade attached to it helps. However, it’d be a completely different thing to code and given my current experience with multiple weapons, I can’t say I’d blade her if she “kept it simple.”
Nah, first one probably is going to be mine, just feels odd without a weapon. Then again, if I can blow people away with ice and fire jutsu then weapons might be moot. Heck, give me lightning and I’ll show big brother his fancy sword and armor makes him a serious lightning rod, if I don’t bake him with fireballs.
I’ll need to analyze my choices then. Do you remember what you picked out of curiosity?

Melissa: she is either be kind, considering she seems really care her family and do thing she don’t want to such as married marxus for her family with little complain. Or strict, considering she grow up with strict study and almost all people have high expectations to her. She may even both.
What i sure of is if she loves her child, she must be really protective and a bit possessive(?) considering her actions to princess sophia is like that if mc drink princess sophia water
Sophia: whatever it’s show or not, i think she going to be caring to her child, since she seems have a bitter experience in her childhood and may don’t want her child to experience the same as her, assuming she not like king andus of course.
Although I think she likely going to not really show it considering she probably experience and know little to nothing about things like that.

Perhaps, however I can speak from first hand observation that maternal instinct is a powerful thing. It can make people change their attitudes on love, relationships and definitely priorities.

Do you want to marry me?” It’s give 1+ Charisma and 1+ Melissa relationship each
