I dont agree with your plan, because I can see to many logistical errors in it. But if you think its going to work, then go for it.
We still don’t know enough about the adult Marxus character to pass judgement on him. Yes, he has a ponytail (ugh but not a deal breaker in and of itself) and is a military genius. However he hasn’t given us the time of day since his or our wedding. Right now, I picture him as a King Richard, an awesome military commander but a questionable ruler when it comes to domestic policy.
Maybe we should send him on a crusade to some far off distant land?

I should have been more clear on why I think Marxus is too emotional, my bad. I think Marxus is too emotional because of how insecure he is. He needs everyones approval. If a man like that becomes king, he is going to run the kingdom into the ground.

It depends, there’s a low percentile chance that, if he surrounds himself with the right advisors and actually listens to them, the kingdom would survive. However, psychology would say that he’ll surround himself with “Yes men” and that would follow your prediction.
Our problem is that he may have a strong, if not fanatical, following in the military if the “golden lion” is a beloved leader.
Again, this is all conjecture as we are missing many variables.

Well, based off of the spoiler that @Sophia gave where Marxus showed his scars, he seems to be very paranoid, and that too could lead to his downfall.

But we can’t convince Marxus to do everything. And if people revolt and someone overthrows him we won’t be able to control the other ruler. I mean what will be the point of playing saint.

Naaah I don’t have much against Marxus I am just doing for dear dad. Marxus death will be easy and and less painful. All the horrible things to his body will be done after his death.
I dont like Marxus. He’s not fit to be king.
