Love to see the old man’s reaction if Sophia (who has a high relationship with the Second Prince as either a friend or a lover) came storming in after sensing that the Second Prince was in trouble (like maybe a small sense of suspicion made her give something to the Prince that let’s her know when he is in danger), and defending him with her own skills before proceeding to rail on the man for trying to harm someone who she cares about (though i am unsure if he would even listen to her).

At this point, I find it hard to care about her; the more I hear about Victoria and see how she is with the Second Prince, the more convinced I am that she is Andus in a dress

I have to agree, I really want to care for her considering she through a hardship when giving birth mc, but she just really makes it difficult. She and andus certainly are nice couple

beside, considering that he’s going to genuinely try to bond with Sophia and has no issues with his half-brother, I doubt that his bond with her will be that high, even if he does hold some care for the woman

And if mc have high relationship with princess sophia, relationship with queen victoria going to lower so… sigh

Agreed. If we were to treat the holy sword like it’s Excalibur then we would be getting approval from the Church, the mages and probably the general public due to the legend surrounding said sword.

Also, if it were me running the story: Any magical ability of the sword would only work for the chosen wielder. If the sword does not acknowledge Andus or Marxus, then it would be just any ordinary sword. You could also have the enchantment work in such a way that the sword would be WORSE and act like a rusty or dull blade in the hands of one not worthy. (Mjolnir’s enchantment of being too heavy for the unworthy would work too.)

Keep in mind, in many harem anime the protagonist typically has one that ends up as his main squeeze. However that does not stop the other girls for vying for his affections. You’ll rarely see the protag in a scenario where he is scoring with everyone unless we veer into VN or doujinshi or full-blown hentai. I stay away from those.
