I’ll use my game for an example. If @Sophia wants to speak for her writing, then I’ll let her do it herself.

I believe in absolutes. You can have beliefs in things that are absolute. Science also has many things that will always happen. Earth moves around the sun, we always have 4 seasons, you will come back down to Earth if you jump, so on and so forth.

There is one problem: We do not live in a perfect world. So a gray area “exists”. People can do things for a right reason but in a totally wrong way. People can do the wrong things for what they think are right reasons. You see it all the time. I can tell you a truthful statement and withhold information. That would technically be a gray area.

So, I think the answer is: We’re both right in a sense. There is a spectrum with many shades but there are absolutes at the ends of each side of the spectrum.

I agree with you, I was just talking about my personal preference. Ive just never really like paragons of virtue (I dont really know why).

This is glorious, I have one last request. Can you photoshop Augustus’ head on the body of your profile pic?

I think the concepts of gray, dark, light are general titles. Everyone has a specific morality. Like in real life I might be more comfortable with a certain level of violence or be able to justify something horrid easier than others. Alternatively there might be someone who is totally comfortable doing things I’d never consider. I think the attractiveness of “Grey/Gray? Jedi” is that there isn’t a code to it, and it can be a specific state for every person. Idk, just my two cents Sir

should we create an off topic thread? I just don’t want certain…“person” to come here and start banning people.

Yeah, we should get back on topic.

Because it’s hard to achieve. In fact, if we look at it in the eyes of religion then you’ll find it’s really impossible to achieve on your own power. You need to follow (perfectly) the 5 pillars of Islam, you need to need to walk the Noble Enlightened Path to achieve Nirvana, etc. Christianity says you can’t do it at all and that you need Christ (who is the only person who could do it due to dual natures of god and man) to come in and enable you to start walking the path to become a “paragon of virtue”.

Any paragon would “shine a light.” People would then see themselves in comparison to tthey would hate the paragon for many reasons, perceived stuck-up nature, envy, etc. his paragon. At the base level, people don’t want to look at themselves and be compared to the “paragon”, so to speak. Your reaction is normal.

I think philosophy is fine as worldviews are contained within all books. So long as nobody is taking shots at anyone else. Star Wars probably should stop.

You were a marine, right? Where did you serve?

Aside from killing her?

I dont mind being compared to the paragon, I just find it hard to believe that the paragon exists. It may be my dark world view talking, but I believe all people are deeply flawed and selfish, and the idea of a paragon existing just doesnt really make sense to me.

We’re killing her after she helps us take the throne though right?

Well I don’t really need her (to do that) now do I :smiling_imp: but if it’s necessary then we’ll kill later

before killing Andus because I think she would go crazy if we do that.

Of course we dont need her, its just that she’ll probably make it easier for us to get the throne. (If she tries to hurt Sophia or Clithus though, Im killing her on the spot).

Ill kill her right after Andus.

I’m literally just using an app on my phone. Anyway back on topic.
