Well, if it was my MC, I would have Andus locked up, tried before the Dukes with the full array of evidence and, depending on the crimes I know of, execute him publically.
I will accept an executioner but we can deal with it ourselves like the Starks.
However, if we are fighting on the battlefield I would kill him outright. All in the name of self-defense and efficiency, ofc.

If we wound Andus on the battlefield, he could do something that antagonists are typically doing like “summon enough strength to get up and stab my son in the back, killing him.” Nah, take out all probability of that happening an think of the greater good of the kingdom. If I’m unable to knock him out and he’s fighting me: he’s dead or I am.
