Kingdoms: Embers In Ashes[WIP] [OLD VERSION]

I think it’s a typo. Dunno, I’m not a bug expert.

She’ll appear in chapter 3.

By the way, nice drawing☺. That Sophia drawing though…

You make it very difficult for me to not choose Sophia now, it just really how I imagine her look like

Thanks. :grinning:

But you should see @MockTurtle’s fan art of Melissa!

Well… you need to put a sign right before (on the right side) of the curly parentheses. I mean, `{name}`.

And yeah, it’s not a typo.

*peeks over the sketches :eyes:

Yeah… but what is it called? Typo? Bug? Pesticide? Giraffe?

It’s… No. It’s not… hmm… what is it?

I’d call it as… a-mistake-that’s-usually-made-by-either-a-newbie-or-when-your-finger-forgot-to-press-that-particular-button.
So, yep. Definitely not a typo.

Hmm… Am I a newbie? It’s almost a month since I’ve started ChoiceScript.

I like the fact that we interacted with dukes in thus update. But I fell that the interaction with Sophia is hugely missing. I honestly do not get why so many people like/love Princess Sophia. She clearly hates you. Clearly this relationship is going to start abusive from her end. Then again there has been little interaction and my MC could change his mind about Princess Sophia.

When analyzing this, now I am putting on my literary critic cap on now. It is clear that the love we have for Melissa and Princess Sophia is not coming solely from the text (WIP). The reader has too little interaction with Princess Sophia for them to be professing their love for her. There seems to be this cognitive dissonance between what we expect Princess Sophia to be, we get this directly from the author @Sophia, and the written text of our interaction with her, the wedding scene stuff. As much as I believe an author can offer their perspective interpretation of their work, the written text can stand alone and is independent from the author. Sure some of the nuances we might misinterpret (even that could be up for debate) without the author, the text (the game in this case) is still supreme.

What I am trying to say is that it puzzles me why so many people are head over heels for Princess Sophia. I think we can sympathize with her, even though her attitude is off putting, due to this arranged marriage. But let us not forget that our MC and Princess Sophia are nobles and therefore this is common. Marrying for love only? Maybe romanticism has already swept across the kingdom.

I guess this is my two cents on the matter. Go Team Melissa

But you’ll have a lot of time with her in the next update. This update is more focused in the dukes. The next one is… ehem… Wedding night.

Friends, Romans, and Countrymen. Lend me your ears.

If you people have seen ‘SCHOOL DAYS’, then you should not romance Melissa.

:joy:

So… I personally love intrigue, plots and chaos in a story. Especially when a character you trusted the most betrayed you in the most important time. So yeah… Please be warned that one of your favorite characters will end up like Game of Thrones.
