Okay guys, I’m only here to say that I won’t update until I will finish the whole wedding scene. Help, suggestions and critiques are welcomed.
@Sophia Well it’s your wedding where you’re wife refuses to say her vows so I think the option to get drunk might be fitting but at the cost of relations points to Sophia
Well since Sofia isn’t all lovey-dovey with us… It would me nice if we can relieve her of her “marital duties” for the night and just talk and get a bit of backstory/introduction and all…
Alternatively we could have a choice to go buck-wild and be slapped/humiliated/whatever-ed by her and get a -10 on relationship
Or spend entire night in bar and get drunk etc. etc.
My suggestion will be mc have choice to go to garden, and find someone that he can talk too, or/and find something interesting. Maybe mc also can go outside the castle, although I can imagine it’s going to make some mess
Edit: speaking of wedding, are there someone from lucraex that go to the wedding? Maybe speak with them can be choice as well
Someone was talking about being curious of Melissa on our wedding, and it would be interesting if we could look at her at some point and see her reaction to how we say our votes in case of the silence option or when we kiss Sophia cheeks instead of her lips.
There is someone who came from Lucraex, an ambassador or something. I don’t know the correct term for a diplomacy kind of office.
No family huh? I guess that understatement since it is their enemy territory. I still feel sympathy to her though
What kind of update you guys want? Weekly update will bring in more progress than daily updates. But Monthly update brings a lot of progress, yet it is a pain to wait for.

I will close this after I get my beauty sleep.
lol everyone’s in for weekly
Weekly updates are actually the best for this game. They combine the greatness of getting several pages of scenes or dialogue instead of just (approximately) one or two new scenes a day. Plus, it relieves stress on the author from having to cater to hungry, impatient people, who don’t give a damn about the author and how THEY are doing.
4 updates in a month isn’t bad at all!
P.S: The best way to keep interest high is to wait a while before updating. Update TOO often and you end up being a victim of burnout. Not to mention low turnout if people believe that an update just contains a new scene or choice and therefore not worth checking out.
Update too infrequently, and you usually lose immediate interest. Not to mention that a month is a LONG time and can irritate people eager for a new update. (not that they have the RIGHT to be irritated)
Of course, updating infrequently doesn’t apply if you are the author of Children Of The Gods, Guenevere, Freak: Amidst The Neon Lights or Monsters of New Haven High. Those will NEVER die out, because they have reached “Indestructible” status. AKA despite months of inactivity on the update front, is always within 20 of the most recent posts, because the community cares to much about it to let it die.
I think monthly would make the author worry too much about getting like a chapter or some arbitrary amount of words or scenes out a month, and that feels like a lot of work. Weekly (like a bug fix or typos or a scene or two or something) seems more realistic, and setting aside a few days or a set amount of hours to work on something and measure progress weekly is just how I do things.
That being said, take a break and move at your own pace at this rate getting burnt out seems super likely, it’s great to have a schedule and set times to write, but don’t overwork yourself on this lovely IF.
I quite like the characters in this story, haven’t really met them all yet, but so far Melissa seems well done and I’m excited for where she goes, I’m curious to see how the cordial relationship with the brother winds up, and how the King might turn into a sympathetic character
I think it would be better a weekly update would be the most appropriate since it could bring a lot of new scenes without adding much pressure unlike the update of the month since you would have more pressure (like to create a chapter or something more)
I think the author should update whenever she is ready. Anything else is just adding pressure where none should exist.
i agree with your reasoning
Weekly sounds nice. But really, whatever doesn’t stress you out is what’s best. If it’s going to feel like a chore by doing weekly or daily, then don’t do it.
14k words!
yey.
Can anyone suggest scenes where the mc spends time with an RO, duke, king, and etc?
@Sophia
The debates/tourneys could be more fleshed out. The duke in charge asks you to keep in touch due to your exceptional performance (whether this is alliance building or subtle romancing is up to you).
RO: dinner between the MC/Sophia and Marxus/Melissa.
Duke: I don’t know them. Hunting, chess or that kind of “relax time” I guess.
King: Going deeper in his plans? He will be forced to “help” us since we are officially in politics.
You said that Sophia didn´t know how to dance, we could have a moment to teach her
As for the dukes, maybe we could have a system where when getting closer to one affects how other dukes feel about us? They could trust us more or don´t like us because we´re getting closer to someone they don´t like.
Let me see… Also, it would be nice to have more chances to speak with our mom, she could help us to assassinate brother or the king? I know she don´t like them and that she´s like Cersei, so that would make sense.
Queen Vicky would want Prince Marxus dead, but not King Andus. Despite all the pain she had endured with her husband, she still holds feelings for him.
