No my mc is not that much hungry for power that he will kill a 7 year old kid. I think that duchy will favour us in other things.

You pretty much nailed it on the head, of course that option might not even be available in this game. In the perfect plan he, my MC, would try to bring reform by changing the government into a constitutional monarchy. If I were to imagine how it was going to be done then it will require some political manoeuvring. The nobles will not want change, especially if all is going well in the country. So I guess a compromise must be reached, a bicameral legislature like in in the UK. There will have to be an upper chamber, House of Lords for the nobles and super rich merchants, and a lower chamber, House of Commons for commoners.
I just don’t trust my heir to carry on my vision and not leave the country in ruins so I have to create a system where the powers of the king is limited (to elected minister, veto any legislation, and have unilateral power to ratify treaties and control foreign affairs). This system will force nobles and commoners to work together. But I am very reluctant to give the House of Commons sole powers to levy taxes, unfortunately it will be toothless without this provision.
I agree, especially when trying to unifying two kingdoms with two different culture, civil war is guaranteed. Don’t forget the old saying: power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. This is an idea I am trying to explore in my upcoming game though that is not here nor there. Absolute rule is bad in general but excellent for the ruler but just imagine this power in the wrong hands.
Maybe in the later chapters this will be explored more. It will be quite weird for peasants to know magic. I am sure there has to be laws governing who can wield magic and when. Feudal society had far reaching laws.
While I do not plan on being any kind of martyr, like Lelouch, I do plan on being a reformist. In order to do that I will have to have the powers akin to an absolute monarch to push this change. Then again I do not think in this game it will be included to be a reformist but will be nice.

I’ve got some solutions (I consider myself an expert 'cause I damn near have a daily migraine due to a condition in my brain)
*Drink LOTS of water
- Stay the f*ck away from ALL electronics (the screens emit stuff that hurts your brain)
*Don’t take more than an aspirin an hour, 'cause too much in one go can damage your liver
*If possible, find someplace to LIE DOWN, even if you don’t or can’t go to sleep, lying down GREATLY reduces your pain
*Drink grape juice (it just helps, don’t know why)
*Don’t strain your eyes, that means no reading, no phone or computer.
*Get some caffeine, this is an excuse for some Dunkin Donuts (or whatevet coffee place floats your boat)
*Find a loyal servant to do your bidding, job or responsibilities for the entire day
Like I said, a bunch of experience in this area, so here’s hoping you feel much better. We don’t care for new updates when your health is at stake. Get better @Sophia.

Jeez I’m losing track here I hope Team Melissa is still winning it out here. Just a quick thought, is there any way to marry Melissa and have everyone (maybe not brother dear) reasonably happy?
