Kingdoms: Embers In Ashes[WIP] [OLD VERSION]

So… RO war anyone

Team Open Minded, with a leaning towards Melissa, she’s like the only RO whose nice towards the MC.

Team heretic for Clithus, Sophia, and even Melissa now. Not looking for an RO war though.

Wow, this place is a lot quieter than I thought it would be by now. @Centralrouge Did you manage to get Sophia’s relationship bar high after all?

No :sob::sob::sob: can’t get it past 20% xD

The update was great, @Sophia your writing is getting a lot more polished.

I have ascended to a higher plane of enlightenment. I no longer need to RO war anymore.

So… you are on Team Melissa?

Time to Tie a Rope to your foot and either Accidentally sail away hanging on to you or Keep you attached to the war…

No need to busy yourself with petty wars when you already know the true path to happiness, I guess.

It seems this thread has finally achieved a lasting peace. We can now talk about the game itself and not fight petty wars over ROs. This is a Golden Age.

This was quite an excellent update @Sophia considering the amount of progress made to the story. Adding much more more, detail and information to the story that has been discussed throughout the forum. Not to mention the polishing of the choices providing the player much more freedom and the removal of those strange out of place choices that didn’t make sense in context. It was also good to see the addition of relationship dynamics and being able to meet each RO. However the stats do seem like they may get unnecessarily complicated quite easily considering how many of them didn’t come into play. Not to mention how excessive they could become in comparison to the former set of stats that all seemed useful, and provided a more satisfactory play through as opposed to now having to keep track of what amount of stats determine success. Unless of course more opportunities are added to properly balance or specialize them. Another odd thing I found was that despite perception being something that increased depending on choices it wasn’t part of the stat screen. As for my personal stance I am now truly neutral considering Melissa I still find boring, Clithus and the commoner (takes me a long time to remember names.) currently need more development and I probably wont be enthusiastic over Sophia until she starts becoming reasonable.

I think that having that many stats is justified, considering the fact that the author said she had only completed 3% of the story at this point. Also, maybe the stats dont impact us directly, but impact how others see us, and how we will rule the kingdom.

I’m just worried about having too many stats affecting the enjoyment of the game.

3% really? wow this is gonna be a Big story

Well, considering the fact that the lost heir series had a crazy number of stats and it was still an extremely enjoyable series, I dont think that should be too much of a problem.

I think you should take a majority poll regarding how enjoyable the lost heir series was. Those unbelievable amount of stats is what made the series unbearable for me. It expected you to develop at least the majority of those skill when there were only opportunities to properly develop a handful. Once it got into managing an army what we were expected to do with the MC was practically impossible for the whole amount of warriors. A choice game should offer the player a proper experience based on the skills they invest in, not penalize them for not developing certain stats.

Wait can I even make a poll if I didnt make this thread?

I admit having many status is can be good but the status is really many, it does make me have hard time to enjoy the story it self, much like how when I play lost Heir. I think how many the status is should depends on how this game going to focus on

I do agree that some lf the stats are unnecessary, but thats just looking at it based on what we know right now, they could come into play later.
