Dammit Andus…not only did you mistreated dearest mother for no reason (probably because she looks like her twin), you had the gall to have an affair that resulted in a bastard that you choose over your rightful heir? Now not only did you show favorism toward Marxus, you ALSO had the audacity to make sure that your rightful heir’s life wouldn’t even had a semblance of happiness by depriving him of your parental love, and then making sure that he won’t get to marry someone of his own choosing by taking away his bride-to-be by marrying her to your bastard, and THEN force him to an arranged marriage for purely political reasons? inhales

As a parent, Andus turned out quite deplorable, however one must consider his own upbringing. @Sophia did say Andus hated his own father (and named the MC after him) whom we know was a drunkard exiled from the nobility by King Ballis (interesting figure, wonder who he was). Its not out of bounds to suspect Andus’s father was abusive, to what extent we may never know. Although given that both his parents died when he was 7 and he was immediately taken into the royal court afterwards suggests that King Ballis had the family under close supervision.
Andus is apparently a war hero for that he has earned respect from the nobility and lowborn, he seems to be the archetypal warrior king and not too bad at diplomacy since he did engineer the MC’s marriage.
As a parent Andus is the worst and really that isn’t a surprise once we realize his less than ideal upbringing but as a King, Andus is someone to revere.
Actually, diplomacy is king flaw there already Duke who plan to rebel, because his lack of skill in diplomacy. and aren’t mc married to princess sophia because of Darvis lose to lucraex on the recent war?

I bet its Duke Clarent. Actually no since their daughter is wedded to the kingdom’s heir its probably one of the other dukes.
On a more ‘meta’ note, there doesn’t seem to be that much choice that will affect your morality, currently. And the choices that are there currently seems heavily stacked against more evil leaning character (not to mention that it is very petty, like, cry as hard as you can and laughs at Melissa’s tummy rumbling? That’s not evil, that’s just how normal babies and children behaves!), what’s with relationship decrease that follows it. If I may, I would like to propose something that would grants a significant boost to each moral alignment for the so inclined, I mean, how else would I roleplay as a goody-two-shoes turned evil because my true love has been taken away from me? Mayhaps it can be done by reflecting about our current situation after Melissa’s marriage for those who seeks the true her path? Like swears revenge on the world and stuff for those who wants to be evil after that traumatic events. shrugs

Yes for the moment it just seems more beneficial to play from a Good alignment since it gives you the most stat rewards, there are no choices I’ve come across that need a specific evil or good stat. Like ignoring Melissa as a baby just hurts you same with staying silent towards Javier, I suppose some choices are meant to punish bad behavior but it doesn’t give anything to balanced out that punishment if one wants to pursue an evil path.

It was more fleshed out in the update, while the prologue did showcase her maternal sensibilities and she is clearly relieved to have birthed a male prince, it seemed apparent from the start she wanted him to become heir, but it never really felt apparent afterwards that she cared for the MC’s emotional nurturing until the update today, particularly the birthday scene.
