It increases and lowers your stats by a % instead of a rounded number. I think it is an attempt to keep people from min/maxing.
A more experienced scripter may have a better answer. If I’m wrong, I’d like to know the answer myself.

Faimath is your normal +/- of stats, with the catch that “the stats will be more difficult to +/- as it approach 100/0, depending on the operation.”

Is there any chance that the scene where our father tells us we’re to be married off can be edited to include an intelligence checked option to call him on his incredibly transparent bull.
Someone tell me if I’ve got it wrong. Our brother is his eldest son, but was born to a concubine. We are the youngest, but we are also the only child between the king and queen, making us the only legitimate child. I’m not entirely clear on the specifics of Darvian inheritance law, but in general this would be a situation where both of us have an arguable claim to the throne.
Now, let’s be blunt, Andus doesn’t like mommy dearest much anymore, if he ever liked her at all. Because of this he doesn’t like us all that much either, so he would much prefer it if Aless’s son was the one to take over when he’s gone. Melissa is a born and bred Darvian, daughter to the hand of the king and most powerful duke, and the perfect candidate for the future queen. Whichever brother she marries will have their claim made much stronger. Naturally, we may be in love, but he sure as hell doesn’t care and won’t run the risk of us having a stronger claim to the throne than Marxus, so why not strengthen Marcus’s claim, hurt us emotionally, and give Victoria a gut punch while he’s at it. It’s a no lose scenario for him.
And then there’s the little matter of Lucraex, for one reason or another that he won’t tell us, he really needs some peace with them. I’m betting it’s the economy, something about him makes me really doubt he knows how to manage a war time economy, or perhaps he just has the bully mentality and now that he’s lost once he’s folding like wet cardboard. In any case he needs to marry a son off to Lucreaux. Now, Sophia is beautiful, intelligent, and royalty, but she’s also a foreigner from a country that has been at war with Darvis for a rather long time. The people would not stand the idea of having her as queen. In effect, this kills our chance for the throne, and judging by history, could kill us. Once again, a no lose situation for the King.
I just want him to know that for all his bluster that this is for the kingdom, we can see right through him, that what he undoubtedly views as infinitely cunning moves are actually obvious blundering, that we know him for the pathetic bitter little man he really is.

Traditionally, the eldest son inherits. Being born from a concubine is considered legitimate, since kings have concubines to have more royal blood candidates for the throne.
