Could for example the magic be used in a more subtle form? Combine a magic skill with an intelligence stat, and perhaps that could lead to a more sneaky form of magic use during combat?

You would need a pretty high magic skill also Sophia’s perception skill is really high as well as a magic skill of 90 so it would really hard to get it past her
