Btw, why do some call my story Two Kingdoms: A man’s journey”?

I’ve been wondering that myself. I saw it in a recent “Favorite WIP” thread and I had to do a double-take on your name to see if you had changed it.

No hahah  No,I didn’t forget.

I also looked at my thread a couple of times if the “TWO KINGDOMS” title was still there.

@Sophia
Since religion play more significant role, what about the demon?

“Demon” is the name given by the humans to the weird looking creatures they saw and persecuted them. (Got this reference with the Jews) I will not be spoiling a lot of this topic, since it is one of the major plots in the story.

Good to know they going to be added, can we at least know their actual name?

I plan to name them as Angis, but I also would like to call them Seraphs. The name is not final, I may change it in the future if I see a nicer name.

uhh aren’t Seraphs angels?

No spoilers for Book 2. :zipper_mouth_face::zipper_mouth_face::zipper_mouth_face::zipper_mouth_face:

From what we know about “demon” is they are hostile being, but it’s because their kind is hunted and burned. What their actual behavior?

One of the theme in my story is “No one is born evil.” That should give a hint to their personality.

So they actually angel like creature?

This pretty much sums it up to me. Also, angis is actually are viper, are this intentional?

Can you do me a solid and not call them “seraphs?” I mean, yeah, I get your theme (it’s been taught in some theological circles but not universally embraced) and I can roll with it since it’s a fantasy work telling a story from your worldview (as is mine)

However, I think things would be better off in the long-term if you used some other name for the race. For instance in the Shannara Chronicles, while the common man uses the word “demon” for the evil race in their world. They are fae known as the Jarka Ruus.

Now I think Terry Brooks had a lot of cold war culture going on and that might’ve influenced the naming but it just gives an example about the race naming concept.

Maybe describe what the race looks like and we can help with the naming?

Oh… No, I actually thought that name was nice but I never knew that it was about snakes! :scream:

Well, I am looking at several names in the fantasynamegenerator site…

They have wings(some), horns(this contains their magic), and etc. Other than that, they look like humans and they are immortal beings. I think of them as a race in the story such as elves, dwarves and etc.

Hmmm, give me more. Ears, hair color, do they have some kind of language that flows like elven? Are these decorative wings? Can they fly? Is their culture built around it? Leather or feathers?

Their ears are like elves, but shorter. Their haircolor depends on their magic affinity. As for their language, they have a certain language that only their race can understand. They can fly with their wings, for those who do not have it, they can cast a flying spell. Their wings are made from feathers.
