Yeah probably. How would a cold and ruthless MC react to that though, would he just stay away while she mourned or would he say “people die get over it” or would he actually be somewhat compassionate?

Here’s one thing you need to know.
Sophia will not listen to you if she doesn’t like you. Simple. When she mourns for Clithus, she will push you away from her. That is, if you have low relationship with her.
Sophia’s possible suicide may be the less suspicious way in getting rid of her. It may also be your plot to kill Clithus.

You mean that you established the Lover Relationship, but you don’t hold any feelings for her? Clithus is Sophia’s friend. You know that friends gossip a lot, right? If you made Sophia your lover, Clithus will know.
