Its not so much the managing of a kingdom that im here for either, but its more how my ruthless actions will come across to the people my MC know. For example, how will Sophia react to my complete destruction of here home. How will Javier react to the way i treat the peasants. How will the Nobles treat me once I have become king. But i cant deny the fact that im also interested in waging a war and being a ruthless king.
yeah but with the reputation that you are going to have I do not think that many peasents will live in your kingdom, and if you do it would be spending a large sum of money which could leave your kingdom a little poor (maybe in a decade return to Normalcy but would be difficult)
ruthless with everybody in your kingdom or ruthless with your enemys?
If the peasants dont join my kingdom willingly i will burn their homes down and have the army take them prisoner so they cant go anywhere but my kingdom (and i already stated that the border would be sealed so theres no getting out)

Ruthless as in, doing whatever it takes to keep your kingdom strong, no matter who it affects

but then the others kingdoms will se yours like some tirant who want to destroys all then they could form some temporal alliance and destroy you

Although I hate to say this but I side with Vergil on how augustus’ strategy would not work at all.

I mean, Im just going off of the assumption that we have to do everything militarily. Another idea is to open the borders after the war with Lucraex and use the money from their treasury to do what the US government did earlier and creat homesteads so that people would move into my land from other places.
I definitely reccomend reading the prince. Its one of my favorite books along with 1984 and animal farm which i also really recommend

Yes but we are in the middle age where the reputation is everything and everyone believes some rumor or falsehood and people are so proud that even for a roof and food would live in a "tyrannical kingdom "
This is actually false.Yes knights and nobles and lords were concerned with reputation, but the peasants didnt care, all they wanted was to be able to feed themselves and their families. The peasants usually lived on farms on manors, and had to give most of their food to the people whose land they were living on at the time, makeing them go hungry most nights. In that situation, if they saw someone giving away land, for the price of just living on that land and paying taxes (which they did anyways), but not having to give away some of their crops they would move there.

If they but to see and hear the things you did to the past peasents they might fear that the same thing happens to them and they might not live there or form a rebellion again
Thats true, but imagine you already live under an abusive lord (there were many of those at the time) who takes your crops and your money for taxes. Then you here of a king faraway who has done bad things in the past, but has said he has changed.This faraway king is giving away land and you dont need to give him your crops.You will still pay taxes but what you farm is yours. Wouldnt you move to the other kingdom, to feed your family and in hopes that it will be better than your current situation?
