There will actually be a scene where you will encounter something like that. Thank you @Harroc for giving me an idea to make the story far more dramatic.
overly fancy bow At your service my lady.
I also suggest you look into 7 deadly sins, I know it’s kinda weird but it’s called like that because it’s basically sums up bad thing that can human do, add the nemesis of it and you have more personality for mc
Will look forward to that scene
The thing with the deadly sins is that it’s completely black and white. For exemple, Patience is opposed to wrath. But if you are too patient, you can become idle. Being a little wrathful never hurt anyone.
Some are sins and virtues only if we look at them in a certain light:
-envy is a sin, but with it you can strive to become a better (in the smarter/stronger sense) person.
-humility is a good thing, but too much will preventy from doing more than you can.
Haha… Our school made us learn it before.
Or I could just use CK2 traits as a reference.
It is black and white but not without consequences, including the virtues,
Edit: although to be honest the personality status is depends on the story to be suitable.
This CK2 certainly look interesting… I just look into it, aren’t that more into skill though?
Gotta go. I just realized that I have a lot of wrong grammars…
Cya! I have to write my story.
I know this is off topic bht we shpild habe a massive ck2 multyplayer game
Can’t do that. CK2 keeps crashing on me, and I have given up on it.
I pity your poor poor soul
Mine usually does that in the start menu.
I have to open my game like 5 times before it runs properly.
(The following is for constructive debate. If someone wants to start flame wars over this, then I’m just going to drop it.)
I interpret chivalry as a code to strive to, a lot of it is based on the teachings of the church. However, if we think of the Augustinian concept of the “Total Depravity of Man.”, then man on his own cannot uphold the ideals of the code of chivalry (much less the teachings of the church.) I believe that this is where the room for hypocrisy comes from.
So, in reality you will have knights and lords all across the spectrum. You’ll have the people who took the oaths and aren’t even going to try to keep them. Some who take the oaths and try to keep it on their own power who will fail at one or two points. Then those who are the true believers who would be considered “True Christian Knights” in CK2 (personifying the concept that they can follow the code and such through the power of Christ in them).
I take a more positive outlook on chivalry and it is a very interesting topic to speak of.
In other news. Never alt+ tab or try to do other things when CK2 is loading up (i.e. adjust your sound volume) or it will crash every time. Once you are at the screen with all of the start buttons, then you’re in the clear. That is the biggest cause for crashes that I am aware of.
Even I’m a little iffy about the gift because of @Sophia’s teasing about it possibly having some type of importance in the story later on.
But unfortunately, Arlan can be a little too trusting in regards to his brother at the moment, so he currently doesn’t see the necklace as anything but a simple gift.
Honestly, my heart’s going to break if the necklace turned out to be something that was meant to harm Arlan or if Marxus becomes too much like their father, giving his younger brother little choice but to have him step down as king. Arlan may not have a strong interest in being a king, but he will step up the moment that Marxus becomes no different than their father.
I mean, Arlan is the adaptable type and is quick to react accordingly not matter the situation, but Marxus’ betrayal or him becoming a ruthless, cold man like their father would hurt Arlan in a way King Andus’ beatings would never be able to do.
I see.
If any of the Second Princes discovered that in some way, some resentment could end up taking root if there main point of their anger was ‘you knew how he was treating me and you didn’t do anything’, even if Marxus (may have) had good reason for not stepping in and keeping a distance. It can seem unreasonable, but some younger siblings do look to their older siblings for protection and support, especially when one parent (or even both) are far from capable of offering that type of security to them. So when their older sibling falls short on that, some of their younger siblings could potentially feel upset and end up feeling that there is no one in the family they can really turn to in the end.
Beginning to get the impression that Marxus was either never fond of the Second Prince to begin with or he had a tiny sense of envy toward him (for some reason I can’t even begin to think of right now) that may have grown into strong resentment as they got older.
That’s actually really interesting. And oddly fitting in a way, since neither son seem to have much of a strong connection toward their father.
So if the Second Prince had a child with Sophia, would the child likely end up inheriting her hair color (she seems to have the strongest mana capacity between her and the Second Prince for the most part so far).
…This is really ironic.
Arlan not only has the the hair color of his mother, but inherited the eye color of King Darius.
Wonder if someone would make the comment about him holding a stronger resemblance to the old king than he does with his own father when it comes to his eyes?
…
I can’t fully judge the King currently because we haven’t seen how he rules in action yet. But if his approach to ruling is just as ruthless and cold as his approach to his youngest child, then I would have said to the Second Prince that he needs to get his eyesight checked.
There’s a quote about how someone chooses to serve a master out of respect and love, not because they are forced. Cruelty and aggression can certainly cause someone to bend a knee out of fear (and maybe some respect). But it is not a long-lasting type of loyalty; the moment the person becomes weak in some way or another equally strong person offers an alliance with less force involved and more compromise, more often than not the aggressor learns the hard way that most their ‘allies’ loyalty were not genuinely theirs.
My MC is almost canon except for the ambition part. I AM THE CHOSEN ONE
Something something, Prince Vince is poisoned. Something something, I press Sophia’s weak claim due to the regency of Lucraex. Something something, the lands are united in one vision, and one purpose.
I have always preferred DBZ to Naruto (or any other anime because i hate pretty much all of them except for DBZ)
Then Princess Sophia is assassinated before she has an heir throwing the kingdom back into chaos with nobles fighting over the crown.
Spymaster Kris has enough intrigue that I will be aware of these threats before they happen. Then people will be “persuaded” to stop backing the plots while I counter-plot against the ring leader (unless I “persuade” them to stop as well. Depends on how merciful I am.)
