Kingdoms: Embers In Ashes[WIP] [OLD VERSION]

L’expression exacte est: “il ne faut pas vendre la peau de l’ours avant de l’avoir tué”.

@AmericanShakespeare As the author said, it will take 1-2 years to finish. In the meantime many things could happen; for example, the conditions for Hosted Games might change. So no, even if it is completed, we can’t be certain it will be released.

First of all, thank you for the support you guys gave to me. I never thought that this story would result RO battles nor interest from other people, since it is gender-locked. :joy:

Why am I thanking all of you? I have a tradition of being thankful a few days before my birthday. Well, if you look at my profile, my birthday is on July 25. I plan to update on that day, so expect a spar scene with Clithus. :relieved:

So I had a another story in my mind, and I feel like this would be a waste if I will just let it pass by. I would still update Kingdoms, but I would like to make another… RO battle thread.

I’m not going to vote, because really, it’s your own choice. I don’t want to make you feel burdened about the poll result(and it’s almost your birthday!). So in short, it’s up to you :slightly_smiling_face:

is better keep yourself in one game at a time, is hard enough writing and finishing one game…but is your choice in the end

King Andus Story

Summary

A proud, cruel and respected king. It is said that he had killed a bear when he was still 12 years old. With his valor and bravery, he has led countless victories that seemed impossible to win.

But his life wasn’t as easy people would imagine. His father was disinherited after causing shame to the name of the Great King Darius. Thus, his father was banished. He lived his childhood life never knowing of his royal blood.

At the age of 7, Andus’ father died after getting into a fight in the tavern. His mother died of sickness, and he lived on the streets for a while. While loving his life, he was approached by royal knights from Darvis. He was brought to the castle, where he faced King Ballis - his grandfather.

The second prince died of a dreadful plague, the same one that killed Andus’ mother. King Ballis, with no other successor, decided to make Andus his heir.

Looking at Andus before, he was a diligent heir that was loved by all. He would occasionally walk at the streets while dressing up as a commoner.

When he was 18, he was bethrothed to Lady Sabrina, the first daughter of the Duke of Brostiv. He instantly fell in love with the lady, and spent all his time on her side. Sabrina love magic. Unfortunately, she overused her mana capacity and… yeah… she died.

Andus was devastated to lose his first love. But as the crown prince, he needed to marry someone. So he was married to Lady Victoria, the younger twin of Lady Sabrina. Despite the death of Sabrina, Andus can still smile, but he was cautious of his feelings.

When he was 24, he met a peasant whom he fell for. He was dressed up as a commoner, so the woman didn’t know his status. Aless was a baker, whom the young prince fell for. King Ballis died, and Andus was next-in-line for thethe throne. He told his love the truth, and that they may never be together.

A month later, Andus became a King. He was called by Aless, whose belly grew the last time they saw each other. She was pregnant by they King’s child. She was made as a concubine, despite the disagreements of the nobles.

Marxus was born, but Aless had a hard time with delivering the baby. She remained bed-ridden for 5 years, until her last breath.

This time, King Andus was filled with rage and hatred. The cub turned into a lion which showed no mercy and remorse. He slaughtered the rebels ruthlessly, and was even rumored to have killed the royal family of Lucraex.

Wow, royal life must be stressf- wait a minute, of course it’s stressful since he is son of rejected heir, I can imagine his burden is more heavy compare to both mc and marxus considering situation at his time as Prince. There is thing that bothering me though…

Is princess Sophia can die because of this as well?

All people have a limit in their mana. Basically, each body is filled with mana. Everytime people use magic, mana is released from the body depending on the type of magic. Without it, you’re dead.

personally i think that focusing on one story means more frequent and better updates, and having 2 to work on can be quite stressful, but its your choice

Thank the Maker you said this now, knowing me I’d get halfway through the book throwing spells about cause it’s cool and just suddenly “Whoops that light spell you cast killed you. Play again?”

Spoiler Time. :sunglasses:

You kiss her and the world fell away. It was slow and soft, comforting in ways that words would never be. Your hand rested below her ear, your thumb caressing her cheek as your breaths mingled. She ran her fingers down your spine, pulling you closer until there was no space left between the two of you and she could feel the beating of your heart against her chest.

“I love you.” She whispers.
