Thanks! I couldn’t find the exact error, but I added a few extra gotos to hopefully avoid the problem. I’ll play test it now myself.
Edit: It worked when I played through the scene.

Data temporarily stored by your browser so that it’ll be more efficient. (Depending on which browser you’re using there are different ways to clear it.) With dashingdon, not clearing your cache can sometimes lead to old scenes loading instead of the most recent ones.

Don’t have a chance to resume my saves for the new stuff yet but I see things have been updated in startup.txt 
The new couples are gonna be so cute together. And then there’s all those new achievements as well.

I just realised something.
When we first meet Seraphina, she says, “It’s nice to finally meet you, [name].”
The other suitemates were obviously oblivious to the fact that we would be joining. So what does she mean by finally???

The dreams as well. One of them said MC was back again, so I’m guessing MC’s mum/dad might have had something to do with all the secrets surrounding nmc and sera happens to know about it?

Noticed some stuff.
After a while, like, at chapter 6 or 7 onward, there’s a non-existent “new message”.
And the transcripts in the stats screen don’t update properly.
During the battle with the ground drake for the exam, choosing to use ritual magic results in an error.
Side-note:
MC saying “Stop!” to the drake and the creature actually obeying. Ominous. In front of the whole class, too.

Overall, I’d say that I really enjoyed the new update.
The only gripe I had is that my relationship with the suitemates seemed a lot lower than from the end of the last update. Especially Seraphina’s, who’s relationship with me skydived from a 72 to a 63.
Also, I kind of preferred when Resistant was a hidden stat. But hey, that’s just me.

And yeah, noticed the relationship stats change, too.
Also noticed that Ritual class and Potions class go well together, easiest way to get good grades for both.
By that, i mean if you select Ritual, it’s recommended to select Potions, too.

Oh yeah, and the gifts!
I really liked them. They were a really nice touch on showing that the NPC’s care about the MC.
However, one gift caught my attention, and not for the obvious reason:
Cressida’s given you a flask containing shimmery black powder. Dearest Tristan, I hope you enjoy my present. It will aid you in the path to free will. - Love, Cressida
This…confused me. Not in a bad way, but I’m still scratching my head on this one. Everyone else just mostly sent food, and even Seraphina opted for a normal book about potions. Why was this gift so unusual? And that one line: “It will aid you in the path to free will”. What does that mean?
I guess I’ll find out sooner or later.
