So just curious, did anyone else think that Jaime was being compelled (along with Davina?) He doesn’t seem to really know why he was helping Reyna, and he’s way nicer to you at the party than he was with Reyna.
Also, how does he himself try to use compulsion (and how does MC manage to almost compel him that one time) if he’s always wearing sunglasses and you need eye contact for control magic…?
It sucks that he died cuz he was such an interesting character…

Will we be able to save characters soon?
I got the impression from Jaime that he was being compelled on and off and was therefore pretty much resigned to his fate when the squad fought him during the last robbery

Like, save our games? iirc the author said we’ll be able to save our games from the first book once book two is done.

I think CoG policy is to not implement the save feature until the sequel is 80% done.

I think you need to date her. That’s how I got it.
I have finally played this game, and man, it was awesome!
I have been a bit worried since I’ve seen people talk about timeskips that were bothering them, and romances that felt too superficial, but none of these was an issue for me. The timeskips simply didn’t bother me, and for the romances, eh, I dunno, it feels like the characters are simply attracted to each other and like each other, but without it going too deep because they don’t know each other THAT much for now - I think it needs more time.
I did Yakov’s romance - he’s by far my favorite character. Though I didn’t learn much about him - I guess I’ll have to replay with other choices and see where does it lead me. Anyone could tell me how to make him open up more? Fyi, I did manage to get him ask my character out early on, and he didn’t break up at a later point (I heard that it may happen), but he stayed extremely secretive non the less.
But man, I’m so nervous about poor Kol. Could the fight have gone better for him? He didn’t die during the fight, but he didn’t wake up by the end of the book.
Also, is it true there is no way to save Jaime? While Yakov is my favorite character from the team, I think Jaime was my favorite character overall. It makes me so sad…

Jaimie dies regardless of what you do. You can save Kol, though. Things get better for him in book two. Every RO has a subplot in book two/the sequel demo. I haven’t tried Yakov’s route in Keeper of Day and Night but if you want to know more about him then the second book is something you might wanna look into. The second book is more packed with RO content so the relationships definitely become more developed as the story progresses!

Yeah, I figured that out! I won’t be trying the second book though - I want to wait for it to be finished and have the full experience. I can test out the first book of a series (or a one shot) while it’s being made, but with a sequel to something, I’m already so invested in the characters I’d go crazy if I didn’t had a full book XD

Yakov is one of the harder romances.
Well, I redid the entire game using a guide, just to check it out, but while my answers were not all the same as in that guide, I actually had it more or less right on my own. Except for the obvious direct consequences of my few choices that were different from the guide, all the conversations and stuff were the same.
I expected him to open up a tiny bit more with a “perfect score” so to say, but it seems it actually was the most I could get from him in the first game.
So… yay for the power of love, I guess? I did good on my first try XD

You can no longer get a phoenix. The only pet options are dragon, hellhound and phantom cat.

Every single MC of mine is fighting with a five years old over a frost bear cub. No exceptions. It’s hopeless, it’s petty, and the only way for them to not end up in this fight is to ignore the plotline completely. I guess it means I won’t be over the bear anytime soon.
