Issues With Buttons

I’m having trouble with buttons.

I have the kitchen, then the living room and those are the two rooms that the character is supposed to explore. I want the character to be able to enter the kitchen, explore, then have the player press the next button, which I’m labelling “back”, so they can go to the previous room and explore the living room.

But when I try to do this, the other rooms get erased, and even if you explore the room and press back, they’re still gone.

My code looks like this:
*choice
#Get up.
*set curiosity 20
*label whereto
Where are you going?
*choice
#Kitchen
*set curiosity 25
You explore the kitchen, which is where the dining table is. There’s nothing much here
except for the pantry, the fridge, and the door that leads to the laundry room and
backyard.
*page_break Back
*goto whereto
*finish
*choice
#Living Room
You go into the living room. To your right is a staircase, and to your left is the front door. It’s locked. In front of you are couches and chairs, as well as a TV.
*finish
*page_break Back
*goto whereto

Looks like you have two different choice menus for each option? Try this:

*label whereto
Where do you want to go?
*choice
    #Kitchen.
        TEXT TEXT TEXT
        *page_break Back
        *goto whereto
    #Livingroom.
        TEXT TEXT TEXT
        *page_break Back
        *goto whereto

And then there’s also *hide_reuse if you wanted that too.

Please format your code when you post here–highlight your code, and then hit the </> button in the menu just above the text box you are writing in. Then we can see if your indents are right.
