Is it possible to romance Sana as a Christian noble? Also, does it matter if Vivienne was the MC’s lover?
@felz Thank you! The research was so much fun that I had to keep reminding myself to leave some room for the mechs.
@Astralise.Ink I’d initially planned for that but it proved logistically difficult so I’m afraid at the moment only Caliphate players can romance her (I might be able to change that in a future update). It won’t make a diffierence if you were Viv’s lover, although you will end up having a mildly awkward conversation with her about it!
Wow im surprised this game was amazing but
Spoiler will follow DON’T READ IF YOU DIDN’T HAVE PLAYED THE GAME
in the end I have sacrificed all I have just because I was curious and I didn’t even liked it the game was so amazing but I was So sad because Tonzo lost another Lord or lady he have to paint the 5th tear on his face just for a Lie that nearly brakes my heart
I’m a bit ashamed that I had my doubts in the beginning but I must say it’s one of the best stories I have read so far maybe some day a similar good story will be realesed without Mechs
I liked the idea of traveling through time
What do u mean by Khans muslims?
Khans and the man of the mountain were Muslims, just from another faction. Same Christians had different empires
If u mean Khan Genghis he is not muslim, and by the way did u find out who is the man in hood?
Can we get back in our timeline at the end of the game?. If we can can someone please tell me how
I’ve got nothing on the whatever that name is still. I dont know anymore if it’s me misspelling and or mistyping or if I genuinely have no idea. I will say that sometimes it let’s me meet the guy and sometimes it doesn’t I generally follow a pretty similar path so I’m not sure why it doesn’t let me meet him on some playthroughs .
The Khan empire in latest generations had Muslims khans even if they maintained a open multi religious culture.
Edit I don’t want maintain a circular dissertation about real story. That doesn’t include mechas and time travel. So in game they are mostly presented as muslims period. Compared reality with a game with Templar mechas and time travel is going to assume that is not a carbon copy of our reality
No that was later, not at this period of time.
I haven’t played the game yet, but I will say that this:
should be the matter of discussion here. Not whether it was historically this or that.
Maybe the author, @Wiwyums could bring light to the subject and tell how they were meant to be portrayed in game.
Damn, I was really enjoying this one and then it felt rushed right at the end. I feel like this story had enough depth to be about 100,000 words longer. The final duel with Richard was disappointingly streamlined from earlier choices, I should have gone with the basketball tournament.
What I mean by that I shouldn’t have been forced into playing a single type of character and putting all my points into a single thing to overcome the climax of the game, and if none of my choices mattered then that’s even worse.
First of all, I want to start by saying that this is my opinion, my conspiracy, allegedly, and that I don’t mean to be rude or mean.
Is this game worth your hard-earned coin? N/A (I didn’t buy it) (I didn’t get past the demo, so I can’t answer that.)
The grade that I give it is: 3/10
What can I say besides I tried?
The three main problems that I had with the game until the end of the demo are the following:
-
The whole you can choose to look for/save your crew. The problem is that for me to be interested in doing that, that would require emotional bonds to be formed, but you only know your crew for like 40 seconds before the accident happens, so there’s no time to really get invested in them. So that leads me to not care about them. I don’t really care to look for them. So the first goal of the game just goes out the window.
-
If I’m not mistaken, there is a crusade going on, and you have to pick which faction you are going to help. The problem is that the factions are way underdeveloped. There are only two that are introduced, yet you are forced to spend 90% of your time with one, and the other is like it doesnt exist. It doesn’t help that the only characters that you can interact with are (you guessed it) from the faction you are forced to be with. How can you choose which faction to help if you are stuck all the time with just one? The third faction wasn’t even introduced during the demo, but I can feel it’s a hot mess waiting to happen.
-
The third problem are the R.Os. (The ones that I did meet). In my honest opinion, they all make me want to take a vow of celibacy.
(Who on earth would ask someone they don’t know to sleep with them on the second day of meeting… like whaaaaaat…)
It could have been redeemable if there was a nice/cute Caliphate rebel prince/princess. Hell, that could have made me get interested in the other factions too. But I did not see any.
Bonus problem:
(who chooses Madonna over Britney!) Like whaaaaaaaaat! No Ma’am!
Honestly, I would have gifted you another point if I had that Britney option.
At the end of the day, I don’t think the plot is the problem. I think that the issue/problems are the underdevelopment of the plot and the characters.
I don’t think it’s a bad game. (I know a bad game when I read it, and if this was one then I’d tell you.) It’s just that I don’t think 250,000 words are enough for a game with massive ideas like this. It needed another 6-10 years in the oven for extra baking.
In the state that is in, I thought it was a hosted label game, and that is not good.
I was raped as a child, my brother made sure of that, but no big deal I’ll just pretend I don’t care about you and then I’LL HAVE YOUR BIG STRONG SONS, AND EVEN STRONGER DAUGHTERS. I wont even comment when you kill him.
Lol, rushed endings.
The Mongols during the time of the 12th Century had no specific religious organization; much of their indigenous beliefs were centered around a form of shamanism (worship of spirits) with elements of… (wait for it) worship of the natural elements along with a mixture of ancestor worship.
It wasn’t until the 13th Century when Tibetan Buddhism became their official religion in China. Other khanates which broke away tended to adopt the religion that was prevalent in the area due to the Mongols’ tendency for religious fluidity and tolerance of differing religious beliefs. So yes, certain sections of the Mongols’ empire did adopt Muslim beliefs, but only in certain regions (Such as the western Ilkhanate).
Generally, one could state that the Mongols were quite fond of hedging their spiritual bets.
@colshot Thanks! And well done for getting one of the trickier endings!
@needs-to-be-loved Happy to clear it up. As @poison_mara said, many of the later khanates were Muslim but at this point in time they mostly still practised folk religions and shamanism. They were also wisely tolerant of all religions since the people they conquered practised such a variety. @Portalboy’s helpful summary matches my understanding.
In the game, they appear to be largely as they were in history (I don’t think I mention their religious beliefs at all) but @Tom1 is right that if you actually meet them, you’ll find their true agenda is to bring down the religions of the west and begin a new society modelled on scientific principles. Following certain routes will reveal why their leadership is so explicitly atheist.
@Zen1 I’m afraid not, although you can sleep through the intervening centuries to get back to a version of the 21st century. You need to make a deal with Rashid for this to happen.
@air1sam I’ll DM you! And to meet Rashid you need to have come to his notice, either through a high otherness score, expressing support for the Caliphate or a number of other events.
@LJ_Phoneix Glad you were enjoying it but sorry the ending fell flat! Can I ask which one you got? I’m thinking of revising them out a little in a future update. The final duel is indeed a little streamlined so I’ll think about revising that, but Ishould add that the thinking behind it was that it would serve as a test of all possible character builds rather than just one. You can only win it if you have enough health left over from the previous matches and winning these is down to a bunch of factors including archon health and upgrades, pilot skill, doctor skill (wounds), choices etc.
@Notsofunny Sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy the game but thanks for giving it a try! I’d say that the later chapters do address some of the issues you had (time spent with other factions, more ROs) but if you didn’t like the demo then it probably wouldn’t be enough to justify buying the full game.
Sorry if I sounded a bit snarky, it was just funny to me how abruptly everything ended with characters not really touching on major parts.
I got the ending where I brought a (shaky) peace to the land and married Ygraine. My issue with the ending is I brought the castle town I was given up to a strong healthy place but never really saw anything else about it, I was able to afford all the upgrades on my Archon so I didn’t realize I needed to focus on pushing my pilot stat so much farther than I did to win the climax duel with Richard, I didn’t like how Ygraine seemed to imply her brother had his friends take her flower and she was happier for it being free from the responsibility of marriage to the point of having a fling with me and making it a point it was a fling, and then turned around and was ready to suddenly marry me and give me a bunch of kids with no dialog advancement. The game was honestly really amazing and different and then everything just sort of rushed to end right when it all comes to a point. As for the other side characters Tonzo was fantastic but then you have like Loukia who you can barely seem to touch on
First, I’ve really enjoyed this story, good work! I’ve replayed many times now trying to romance Sana, and the princess. I have a couple questions about those two romances.
First the princess.
I’ve been invited to talk after the party by the princess, and at the formal introductions she bites your ear. Is that the end of the romance or am I missing the next part somehow? As she’s never mentioned in the epilogue.
Next Sana. I’ve romanced her, but never had her make any requests for vengeance. Also while not on her romance path. I encountered a scene where she shows up asking the MC to drink something. I refused at the time. Yet now I can’t seem to recreate the trigger for that scene, no matter how I change things up.
Any info regarding those two romance paths would be fantastic. Again great job, and it’s a wonderful story!
`
For the Princess romance i think there is an option after that scene where she bites your ear that you have some options like getting close to the king and etc… i remember that the last option was to court her after you choose that she will favor you in the tournment, after you win it, the epilogue will mention that your married her (sorry if its confusing, im talking from what i remember)
