I second this. Not only would this be a chance for your character to change (as opposed to a static one), but it could create lots of growth for the character and the ones around them.

Imagine people treating the mc like a failure, laughing at mc or telling their children about a story gone wrong AND THEN gaining power! It would change their reactions. You could either walk respectfully around or be like “UH HUH!” right at their faces.

I would somewhat agree to that, but it’s not like they could get rid of the MCs power… I mean, it makes more sense to me for your powers to become weaker because of a sort of backlash to being exiled, I may add that, I’ll think about it.

What about the MC’s power being suppressed as a result of being stuck in the mortal realm ? Does that work.

Maybe, I mean as I said there’s a god, an elder god(which is like 10x more powerful) then there’s the MC, who is like 150x more powerful, so the chances of the MC being suppressed compared to other gods is very unlikely, but I’ll think about it as I said I would, and if I want to I will add it.

I usually play as sarcastic or blunt player, but I never got the chance to play as yandere in a story…

While there are yandere characters on some stories I know, it’ll be nice if I get to be the yandere this time around…

So true I’ve played like 1 yandere game on dashington but the author took it down :joy: :joy:

Ironically when I was working on Rolusuppo , I actually planned to allow players to be a yandere mc in my high school life/anime type game. But yeah not a common theme for obvious reasons. My game’s mc has what would be closest to be described as something between an IED and borderline personality disorder. So I just felt like it would fit, but never got to the stage in production yet where the mc starts going from the line between just goofy anime crazy to a more dark and serious level of psychotic. The idea I had was that they would get huge boosts to fighting skills when they don’t take meds but…that would leave them taking a lot more antagonistic role then they typically would(Secret thing is that one of the main cast is already this, but I won’t say which and just leave it to guesswork). I really don’t enjoy taking about my own stuff outside of threads for it but I just felt like it was worth mentioning that some writers are actually already working on something along those lines.(Sorry for awkward looking post. Typing on my phone doesn’t make it easy)

I wouldn’t mind an antagonistic role, really. I mean we’re talking about a yandere here that’s no surprise, right guys?

But what I really want is to be a yandere that will scare the shit out of senpai while making her want for more of that scares (what is wrong with me?) Hell I would even settle for playing a yangire role.

Both scenario, MC losing power and not, will provide different narrative and char-development. Both can be executed well and fun. I think this is something that you’re the one who picks the poison.

Just gonna pop in and check if there’s any intrigue before I start writing dialogue and plot stuff!
I’ve started my research and jotting down plot points, the characters are fairly fleshed out in regards to looks & personalities, currently working on backgrounds. I would like to aim for updating monthly, perhaps bi-monthly.

It’s a modern day occult story of MC and your 3 friends, Ansel, Amicia, and Wren. After a tragic incident happens to the twins Ansel and Amicia, Amicia enlists your help to discover her old relatives grimoire. In hopes of summoning a spirit with her brother, MC, and Wren they set off to do what witches do best. As of right now, and I know a lot of players don’t like this, the four of you will have pre existing, amiable relationships, just a heads up.

There are 4 RO’s, Ansel (m/lawful good/enfp), Amicia (f/chaotic good/enfj), Wren (m/f/nb/true neutral/istj), and #4 (m/f/nb/neutral evil/estp). There will be multiple endings that will all end up being bitter-sweet because I love chaos. Each RO will have a different ability outlined in the 13 powers that witches claim. The game will have lots of opportunities for romance, if MC so chooses, and will focus heavily on character interaction, but that is not to say any ending will be blocked off due to MC choosing not to interact with certain characters.
I’ll admit I am being quite vague as to not post spoilers so any initial thoughts would be much appreciated!

I’m really interesting in this. The idea of being a powerful God who gets banish to the human world. I agree that other Gods should somehow temporarly supress our MC’s powers & then we get more of a permanent weakness while in the human world. I also can’t wait to see what kind of God we can be in terms of our powers such as the God of chaos or the God of nature, etc & also to pick the reason for our banishment

I think it sounds like a good game!! I like to play stories as a witch. I like the more occult aspects to having magic! I hope you decide to write it, a lot of previous stories about playing as a witch have been abandoned.

Thought I’d put a small line out there for a game I’ve spent a couple of months planning.

The basis is that you play as the Heir to the kingdom of Artherius. You are soon to inherit the throne from your father, who has been the active regent ever since your mother disappeared when you were 5, but due to the circumstances of the kingdom that is a far off goal.

6 years before, the kingdom was thrown into disarray when your father declared marshal law and closed the borders, going so far as to collapsed the passes through the mountains that are the only entrances into and out of the country. The kingdom has essentially collapsed in on itself, ruled by criminals and the corrupt. The prisons are filled with the innocent, and more and more of your people die at the hands of starvation and illness each day. All who try to leave Artherius meet a horrible end. All that is known is a flash of light is seen, and nothing more than ash is left behind.

It is up to the Heir to discover what the hell is going on, as your father used to not act this way, it having been a rather abrupt change. You must also attempt to pull your country back together and wrestle control of your kingdom from your father. But not all is as it seems. There is something more than it seems at play. You must be wary and search for the clues that could lead to your destruction or your salvation, because the real enemy is older and more powerful than you could ever imagine.

This world is full of various races, such as orcs, elves, naga, demons, dwarves, djinn, etc. There are 7 possible romances with an elf, a naga, a djinn, a Dragonborn, kitsune, a mer, and a demon, with some possible poly options. I intend for this game to be more character driven, but I also like my stats too,if simply for being able to do a cool action instead of the basic action.

I have a very partial demo written, just to give a small hint of what I plan: https://dashingdon.com/play/lunashrimp/crown-of-thorns-and-roses/mygame/

Just thought I’d get this out there, see if anyone might be interested. Thanks for your time!

Yea I may just add both of them, one being a kind of easy mode and the other being a hard mode, how do you think of that?

Actually it’s poll time!

Would you guys want me to add both the weakened MC as a hard mode, the non-affected MC(still has all his/her power) as a easy mode, and a No power at all as a extreme mode?

  • Sure, that would be fun.
  • Nah, just choose one or the other.

Will we get to be a Dragonborn?

That would actually work considering both sides get what they want and your comfortable with it.

And while i still here can anybody give me some good clothes for male and female characters I’ve been googling a few but none of them stick out as something a casual everyday person would wear. I wanna have a good variety.

(Im a female but is there anything that females wouldn’t wear that’s masculine? I couldn’t think of any)

Hey! I’ve been throwing some ideas around for a story here and I was wondering if I could get some opinions on it.

For the longest time I’ve wanted to write one of these but I’ve lacked the inspiration to do so, until recently anyway. Reading the Wayhaven Chronicles got me interested in a world where the supernatural does exist but was kept secret and heavily regulated by the government.

I want to write a story in a similar world, but I’m worried that no matter what I do it will just end up looking like a copy of Wayhaven which is by no means my intention.

What I want to do (Without spoiling anything) is have a character who works as a bartender in a big city get embraced into vampirism by a rogue vampire.

During the process the bartender is caught by the Supernatural Agency of Cooperation (May change the name later but I’m very proud of giving a secret government organization the acronym of SAC). At first the SAC believes the bartender is also a rogue vampire, until another vampire enters the room and confirms that you are mid-embracement.

The Main Character has little choice from this point but to work with the SAC, seeing as they’re the only people who can teach them how to survive as a vampire; And depending on the main character’s motivations, help get revenge on the vampire who embraced them.

This is just a little tid-bit of what I have so far and I’m just so worried that since it’s based on the lore from Wayhaven that people will just see it as a copy. So any advice on how to make this my own or whether I should write this at all would be welcome and greatly appreciated.
