Speaking #real now, though: I don’t think Seven having a kid is a career ender. I think, whatever their secret is, they’re more afraid of having all their private business aired out rather than being afraid it’ll hurt their public image.
But I also don’t think they have a kid, even though that theory will always have a special place in my heart.

It’s too unrealistic, any potential kid would be max 2 years old and not able to have a phone conversation. A half sibling from the distant dad is the most likely IMO

This is most consistent with their characterization so far, yeah.
And a secret pregnancy (especially for a female Seven? who performs on stage??) just requires a bit more suspension of disbelief than I think this story’s level of groundedness can support. I’m not saying this is the most realistic story in every sense, but something like this would just be out of left field imo. It’d definitely throw me off if this turns out to be the thing that Seven is hiding.
Wanting to protect their new relationship with a recently discovered half-sibling from shitty dad is my vote. That feels more likely considering how Seven’s family gets brought into their characterization.

You really think if “codependency is my first, second and last name” Seven had 1-2 year old kid, they’d just leave them alone for months with a random caretaker or mysterious parent who somehow didn’t make a single appearance, and just fucked off on a tv reality show tour?

Why join a known Show that reveals all the dirty secrets then? Yes fame is the goal but given how secretive and outright uncooperative Sev is with the staff/ crew regarding fishing for drama slash secrets it doesn’t really seem like it’s worth it for both the MC and Sev tbh.
I can imagine you agree to do the show hoping to avoid some of that same treatment (or maybe you just aren’t aware of how invasive it’s actually going to be).
Or maybe it’s just worth the risk for what you have to gain.
Regardless, if either of these characters played it safe, they’d be working at Target or in an office or something.

It’s a miserable picture, lol.
Anyway, I don’t think these two are pursuing fame and fortune in the music industry because they have good sense, lol. A lot of risks, worthwhile or no, require the absence of good sense. Their passion is going to be put to the test, to see if they can stick out the shitty, degrading parts of BOTB and actually make themselves or their bands a household name.

It’s also likely that they assumed all the drama of the previous series/ seasons of BOTB was overhyped or played for entertainment, which yes most likely was but I don’t doubt that a good bit was intentionally dragged out of the closet as it were. Naive kids with no sense lmao but hey we get a good IF out of the insanity so there is a bonus.
All I know is it’ll be immensely entertaining when both the MC and Sev finally snap after having been pushed to the last limit.

Speaking of, I really do wish they were around four or five years younger. It just feels like they should be past most of the truly petty crap, or on the verge of being past it at the ages as given.

Eh, I don’t care much about the age because you can just open any social media and some singer/star/etc are beefing like teens when they’re in their 30s or older. I just see it as how the industry that relies on fame can easily make a person messy.

Yeah, arrested development is a real thing (and something that you could realistically expect in characters like the MC and Seven, not to mention G). I don’t mind messy mid-to-late-twenties characters that much. I’ve known more than a few, haha.
