Something i was just thinking. Why not make the RO’s gender flippable. Would be good if the detective and Nyx were female as I’m always a straight male MC in text based games. Apart from that, i really like your story and can’t wait to see how it continues.

I have considered it! But I decided I wanted to keep the ROs locked, and try gender-flippable ROs in another project as I ought to be far more comfortable with scripting by then. It would add a fair amount of work as I’d have to account for more variables, and I worried I would somehow run into the classic issue of “this character feels more 3-dimenionsal (what is spelling) as a woman but not as a man” and vice versa. Does that make sense? I’m terrible at explaining things. I guess, in the end, keeping the RO’s genders locked is what I felt most comfortable and happy with, even if it meant turning away a few potential readers.
I’m sorry if that didn’t make sense, but I’m glad you were able to enjoy things regardless!

Update!
I am the most disorganized writer here, my lord.
So, I have finished writing four chapters for the fourth (and hopefully final, please) rewrite. I still need to add in all the choices and their scenes and bits but expect an upload… eventually? 
I can’t begin to guess a date here. The rewrite includes major changes such as:
New beginning
Nyx and MC having no prior relationship (I love how I had them meet because I am a sucker for this trope and will probably have it included again. Maybe many times. I love it so much-)
MC having a more independent life
Slight change to their Wraith attack
Reasons for why MC works with the SND in the first place
Nyx knowing what he is, and therefore, you all will as well
and more!
I think critiques and feedback are even more important for this rewrite as I have some places I’m unsure of but wanted to leave to see your responses, and because if how big the changes are. I haven’t yet added choices for hair and eye color as I’m trying to decide if it’s best to cut those out entirely, or just have them be their own choices without being tied to “oh you have your dad’s eyes” kind of thing. We’ll see.

All I know is- I have notes scattered everywhere. I have them hastily added in other documents, on random sticky notes stuffed and hidden around my room, on the notepad on my phone because I got an idea riding in the car or was walking around a store…
i’ll probably spend a decade just trying to find everything >_>

If we haven’t played your demo before, would you recommend that we play what you have linked now? Or wait for the update?
You’re more than welcome to! I will be leaving the previous versions up, as it’s fun to compare (even if I don’t have the very first iteration). Considering where things left off, and were going, you wouldn’t be missing anything if you didn’t play the previous demo either. It’s entirely up to you and more just to see how things have changed!
